OK - despite what you say, the idea 'all is one' is only the philosophy of one branch of sanatana dharma - advaita vedanta. There is also dvaita philosophy as propounded by such archarayas as Ramanuja, Mahdva, etc, and the qualified non-dualism of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. In recent times we have also the 'integral advaita' of Sri Aurobindo. Only adaviata claims that the individual existence is unreal or illusory. So in terms of those types of philosophy, which are just as legitimate and authentically 'Hindu' as advaita, I am the Jiva, an eternally separate individual incarnate in a physical body. My question is simple really - if realization of the One gives all knowledge, why can't someone with such realization tell me what colour shirt I'm wearing? Perhaps some people's idea of what constitutes all knowingness is somewhat limited? Perhaps they are deluded by an experience which the being hasn't properly integrated, and thus make wild and unsubstansiable claims. I'd go further, and ask such a person if they really know what is occuring from second to second in each and every one of the billions of cells which make up their body. If not, claims of all knowledge are so much verbiage.
Hindus speak of Tat Avam Asi (Thou Art That). It means every particle of creation is THAT also. Yes, even the unreal or illusory. Therefore, why are you obsessed with having others know what colour shirt you are wearing? Better to know who is the "i" that is wearing the shirt.
Let's assume I do know. Let's change the question - give me some info from the all knowledge regarding beings on other planets in other galaxies. tat tvam asi can be interpreted in different ways. Dualists say it means one thing, advaitins another. So far you have totally failed to answer my question regarding the nature of all knowledge.
That is simply an evasion of a difficult question. And it completely ignores the facts about Hindu philosophy as I've already pointed out. It is useless to debate with those who pose themselves as having knowledge but then won't or probably can't give an answer a simple question.
Yes, since, you haven't yet defined who "you" really are. How can I even say what colour of shirt you're wearing... Agreed. It is indeed useless to discuss issues with ignorant people.
I have changed the question just in case you have failed to notice. I want to know about beings in other galaxies. If you had all knowledge that should really be easy, even if you think the universe is an illusion, the all knowledge would extend to every aspect of that illusion. Strange that none of those who are said to have this all knowledge in the past didn't even know galaxies existed up until the 1930's. BTW - who are you? Clearly not one who embodies the teaching attitude of the rishis of India, whose goal was to remove ignorance and instill knowledge. It's simply that you can't answer I think.
I want to know why is it important to you to know whether there be beings in other galaxies. Do you already know who "you" really are to begin with?
Eh, and why should you hold me to a different expectation to speak and behave differently than how you speak and behave out of ignorance and arrogance. I mean, you're allowed to ask stupid questions, and yet you expect me to provide correct answers.
I expect nothing - no answer - which is what I've got from you. I don't think you understand at all what I'm getting at here. Also, if 'all is one', all you're doing is putting down part of yourself as ignorant. It is intersting that you ignore completely the actual nature of hindu philosphy, assuming one branch is correct, and the others wrong. My questions are perfectly reasonable. Problem is you can't answer satisfactorily.
Eh, if "all is one" as you declare, then you yourself is guilty of ignorance by calling me ignorant. BillBlake, this is similar to bitchslapping yourself.
Problem is you can't answer other than by evasion or petty personal slights. I'll leave it to others anyway to decide if my questions are reasonable or not.
Since you expected nothing, why did you bother to ask a question. It just goes to show your own stupidity.
You have not defined who "you" are? Why do you expect me to define what colour shirt you are wearing? Unless you have a sick perversion to share and have others describe your underwear? LOL.
Well, why do you want to know if there are beings in other galaxies? You wouldn't know the ones in this galaxy if they bit you in your ass.
Are you saying, you don't like to wear any underwear. Now, you beginning to sound a little creepy... pervert. If you don't understand this sentence it merely shows your lack of functioning brain cells. You've been spending all that time trying to figure out what kind of beings exist in other galaxies, you forget to change your underwear.
