It's certainly one of my favourite American Westerns indeed. But those Italian ones just rock my soul!

Some great films mentioned... Tombstone is great, Unforgiven... I'd say my all time favorite has to be The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Amazing acting, amazing plot, beautifully artistic directing and one of the greatest scores of all time.

Ah, my dad has the one from Once upon a time in the west. With one side of the sleeve that supreme scene where the harmonicaman tries to save his brother. :)

Try to download the one from For a few dollars more as well, also a great score from Morricone. Haha, we're turning this into a music thread.

The best western of all time surely is an italian one. I can't really choose, but it seems it doesn't get much better than the Good, Bad and the Ugly.

Clint Eastwood indeed. He has that indisputable cowboy charisma even now when he's grizzled and grandpa-like.

Lee van Cleef rocks as well. And Klaus Kinski and Tomas Milian. They made some superb spaghetti westerns. But in the end that trilogy just is the best indeed.

Tombstone and Josey Wales for me.
I just got done watching High Plains Drifter. Can someone explain this one to me Im kind of at a loss. Specifically who was Clint supposed to be? Are we supposed to know? My best guess is he is somehow related to the Marshall. That would be the only explanation for what he did to the town and everything, otherwise it doesn't make much sense to me. Anybody have an explanation?

High Plains Drifter===Maybe don't depend on a saviour--depend on yourself or bad shit can happen?
