I also think the theme tune to Cowboy Bebop (Tank) is the boom diggy. So that means I choose RAWHIDE and Cowboy Bebop
Alert-- the newbie is resurrecting ancient threads. Thought of some more favorites from the past: Heathcliff , Married...with children which of course is ol' blue-eyes, and how about Dragnet? the 60s one was cooler than the earlier one IMO.
As a kid I always found this intro rather interesting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g5suTqRMfs Hotwater
American Dad or Family Guy. The contradiction in the Family Guy song (Where are those good ol' fashioned values), and the intro clips on American Dad. Oh, and the South Park song just because Les Claypool made it. Claypool deserves an ancient shrine.
The theme to Peter Gunn, by Henry Mancini -- WITHOUT A DOUBT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcflCzZlLcQ
The theme song to the old Disney "Zorro" series ... Out of the night when the full moon is bright ...
I knew a punk band in 1979 that did a killer cover of the Perry Mason theme, with blazin' guitar. I'd put that at the top, personally.
There are actually MANY totally cool theme songs, but lately I just can't help but hum the theme whistle song for "Andy Griffith Show", lol. If I'm not singing that, then I can also be caught singing the theme song to "Mister Rogers", LOL. And "Knight Rider" theme song is a CLASSIC!!
I can't find it anywhere but it's Suicide is Painless, sans the words. I just love the show and the intro gives me chills, when they're all running to the helicopter.
Dennis Miller's show from the 90's - Everybody wants to rule the world and Craig Ferguson's show, I like the lyrics
Alot of good theme songs, mainly on the older shows of course. Hawaii 5-0 s theme music stands out. I also always liked the original Gilligans Island theme song from the first season only( the black and white shows) when it was sung by a group called "The Wellingtons".--Those guys could sing!--The show Maude also had a catchy, good theme song.
