Sgt. Pepper's and Dark Side are so far my faves. Surprisingly the tracks that took my to new heights from those albums were Lovely Rita and Us and Them.
Here's one that most people have forgotten about. Space Ritual by Hawkwind and any good Krautrock albums
fUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION THE hAWKS...........love that band....I'm on here right now.........http://hawkwindforum.freeforums.org/index.php
Try these very special psychedelic recommendations from your Om Organizer. Gong, Magick Brother Blossom Toes, We Are Ever So Clean
Most people know them for "Bittersweet Symphony" or "The Drugs Don't Work", but the Verve's debut album is an absolutely AMAZING psychedelic album. It's so much different from anything they did afterwards, and the fact that it's so good while so little known sort of adds to its appeal. It's definitely my favorite album to trip to. :2thumbsup:
Magical Mystery Tour will always be my favorite classic psychedelic album. But it can be argued Radiohead's Kid A is a psychedelic album..
Props to Canopy! Zaireeka is in my mind the greatest psych album! If you can't get ppl together or you want to solo-trip, the fan-made 5.1 dvd is superb too (dload the torrent). Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots is one of my fav. trip albums as well. Aside from ones that have already been mentioned, one of my absolute favs is McDonald & Giles - McDonald & Giles. A side project of King Crimson. I definitely prefer it over anything KC ever did.
