Love spending the day naked on the beach but anywhere is good. I have spent the day naked at work a few times.
Definately the outdoors... Beaches.. The Wild.... Saunas are awesome too. I'm finnish so its kinda a way of life.
Why is it that even a nudist sometimes empathise that there IS an erotic element to nudism? Wouldn't you expect that they would get used to it and not feel that way? Maybe something to do with no restrictions and pure human nature being let out or something?
Turn the argument on its head! There is a sensory deprivation element to wearing clothes over much of your body. Take off your clothes and your skin will function as designed, but it will feel sensual to someone who spends a lot of time in clothes. The barriers are totally removed to enjoying wind, sun, rain, the feel of plants, the touch of loved ones. There is not an erotic element to nudism at all. There is sometimes an erotic element to nudity. Nudity is not always nudism. Sometimes people confuse the word "sensual" with the word "erotic". Not the same either! And many people confuse the delightful sensory overload caused by bare skin with erotic or sexual feelings. You learn to separate these things out. Both are good, both are different.
That's what I do, it's the closest thing I can get to naturism thus far. Which isn't very much, that's not much of a naturist.
If you live in the middle of a big city where naturism is not well-received, I can see your dilemma. But at least for most of us, every once in a while, we find ourselves in a situation where clothes are simply not needed and a bit in the way. I was visiting an old college friend and he had to work during the day, but we would visit after his shift ended. However, he invited me to go fishing on his family's lake. No one was around for a mile or two. It was getting hot, the fish weren't biting, so I simply took my clothes off and went swimming for an hour, then relaxed on the dock for a while until the sun dried me off. If you are with friends who are not up tight about nudity and the setting is private, then why bother wearing something in the water? Such a thing does not require swearing allegiance to the cause of naturism. It is just a bunch of friends going for a swim.
I wish I could find a descent place and a descent group of people in my area to be nude outside with.
There's a clothing-optional organic farm just over the Wisconsin state line from the Twin Cities (Minn.-St. Paul). They need help every summer and you don't need to wear a thing.
I guess there is no „best place“ in general, as it depends a lot on the possibilities, conditions, attitudes and preferences. For me, spending a beautiful summer day at the beach with no stitch on is great. But nude hiking in plain nature is a wonderful experience too. Last weekend we had extraordinary warm weather. I did spend the weekend at friends to help them getting their garden ready for the season. It was so sunny and windless that it was really already comfortable to work in the nude. So amazing! In march! So their old farm garden was also a “best” place to be nude actually ;-)
I'll go nude anywhere, within reason, if the weather is warm why wear clothes. My most daring to date was walking along a crowded textile beach in Spain completely naked, it was quite scary initially but nobody was bothered, i wasnt confronted, in fact i felt pretty comfortable.
