best movies to watch when you're high or tippin

Maybe you should cut back on your drug intake juuuust enough to be able to spell your thread title correctly, yes? I take it you did not mean "tippin," but "trippin"?

What makes these movies particularly good for watching while on drugs? I mean, some of them are plenty fine if you're straight, and I can imagine that some of them would just confuse a person who was high.

2001: a space odyssey

whooooooooaa.

 

Dead Man. It's an Johhny Depp movie... with Iggy Pop, Billy Bob Thorton and tons of others. It's a western, filmed in black and white. Wicked cool flick that not many have seen.

If you are going to watch Fantasia, make sure it's the original and not the "2000" version. Steve Martin popping out of no where can really mess you up.. and not in a good way!

 

ive allways found evil dead 2 to be very trippy. you know the camera movements and so forth...

 

Flash Gordon with Queen in the Soundtrak. Or Matrix 3.

 

The Beatles - Yellow Submarine, I watched that when stoned once, that was pretty cool. Oh yeah and Power Rangers, I have never laughed so much when I was stoned and watched that

 

Hmmm.... Back when I was more inclined to watch movies high, my favorites were always 2001: A Space Odyssey, Fantastic Planet, A Soldier's Tale, the cartoon version of The Hobbit, and Jacob's Ladder.

If you really want to twist your mind around, watch Jodorowsky's El Topo after smoking a bit...

If you're high or tripping, see Cowboy Bebop nr 17: Mushroom Mamba. The main characters are tripping on mushrooms too. So, if you are tripping and they are tripping, you are all tripping, and that's all good.

This is THE ONE to watch. Don't know if I can say this here, but DOWNLOAD IT. And not the English version (that totally sucks!!!!!!!!!!), but the Japanese version. And don't give me that crap about reading subtitles, because I'm reading them all my life, and I learned English from it.
