I've always like the name Lily, but it is rather common. As is Dylan. Oh well. Girls: Lily, Carmen, Nevan, Charlotte, Terra, Sierra... Boys: Halley, Dylan, Owen (one of my favorites)... Whoops... left out the hippy aspect. Sorry.
My friend is named Dylan; it means: From the sea. His parents named him that because they hadn't plan on having a 3rd kid, but along he came. He's still a really good friend, and rags on me for acting old skool a lot of the time when he does too; it's all in good fun. Oh, and September is a wonderful unisex name; it means: 7th child, in all essence. At least, that's what I heard... My cat's named that (I named it, found it in September anyhow) .
If I had a girl, she'd be Roxxanne or Rose. If I had a boy he'd be Dylan, Darren, Derek or Keith. They sound more "rock star" than "hippy" I suppose, but okay.
Here are what my Hippie folks named my siblings and I: Milo Sebastien Teja Harmony Rayni Angelica(me) Lakeley Justice Sage Weyland
My daughters name is Julia Cailyn. We chose her name because Julia means youthful and Cailyn means pure. We were even further assured that it was a perfect name for her because my hubby and I are both Beatles fans. The lyrics to the song Julia are absolutely beautiful. Julia lyrics: Half of what I say is meaningless But I say it just to reach you, Julia Julia, Julia, oceanchild, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia Her hair of floating sky is shimmering, glimmering, In the sun Julia, Julia, morning moon, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia When I cannot sing my heart I can only speak my mind, Julia Julia, sleeping sand, silent cloud, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia Hum hum hum hum...calls me So I sing a song of love for Julia, Julia, Julia
