Moneysense magazine recently compiled their first annual ranking of their best places in Canada in which to live -- 107 cities and towns were ranked. Check out the "overview" heading if you want to know how they came up with this ranking. http://rankings.canadianbusiness.com/BestPlacesToLive/list.asp
^ that list really has to actuall rating of how "nice" the city is, it's based so much on economy that the top 10 have alot of shit holes in it, just because of low housing costs, and low crime because no one lives there
the survey is the best places to live ECONOMICALLY........says nothing about places to live in peace and security .........industrial cities like hamilton score high economically but would you want to live in downtown hamilton to raise a family????? i sure as hell wouldn't.
^ Read the overview section, several quality of life factors are included that have nothing to do with economics.
Yay! I've moved to Victoria. I'm now cleaning up shit and blood in a shitty hotel but I love every second of living here so it's worth it.
Yay, Montréal has the lead! I honestly think it's the best city. It's really laid-back and friendly, quite a big "hippy community" and THE TAM-TAMS!!!! Plus, we have a hippy college (Cégep): Cégep du Vieux-Montréal and a hippy university: UQAM. Weed is good, weather is not bad at all, cheap city to live in. The architecture is amazing, lots of different cultures and cool "ethnic" shops (ie: for food). Part of the town (like downtown) is a real city jungle, full of people and other parts seem to be deserted, very peaceful. Gosh I love my city.
Montreal definately, I live here and the night life is awesome, I have only been to Toronto and Vancouver though.
Calgary I'd have to say, Edmonton is good too, I'm a big Alberta fan, even though I live near Toronto I really hate Ontario, it's politics and laws and pretty much a lot about it, Calgary was awesome when I went.
man the best town in canada is halifax or dartmouth i recently went there and it was fucking awsome!!!!!!!
Barrie all the way baby. no, its an okay sort of city but not the best. i guess the question was which one is the best...... maby everyone should ignore this..
well, the best city sure isnt tofino. didja hear? they ran out of water right before the long weekend. all the businesses were ordered to close until it rains. really bad for tourism!
man, wtf. you cant have a set list to choose from. this is bunk. there is no best city anyways. i thought moose jaw sucked, but just a day ago me and my friend went walking down all these trails wed never seen before, and it was fuckin sweet. and im sure every other city has kickass shit like that. if you think your town/city sucks, jsut walk around and explore a bit, and youll end up loving it
I live in Hamilton, go to school in London... I have to say, two of the dirtiest cities I've come across. Hamilton atleast has Hess village and London has the bars downtown, so they're ok I suppose.
