I'd like to try that Schlitz Bull Ice. I've never seen them, but I assume it would put me on my ass. The only Schlitz I've tried is just the plain ol' Schlitz Malt Liquor. nesta, have you ever tried Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat? You've probably tried it but, if not, be on the look-out for it.
i have, its not my favorite though. its too sweet for me. i've heard the other schlitz malt liquors are as bad as their regular beer, though. but the red bull tastes pretty much like a beefed up version of a normal macro lager. pretty inoffensive for less than a buck fifty for a forty, and its not as strong as steel reserve (7.1 or 7.3 i think) but its cheaper and tastier.
no way! delirium noel is pretty damn good, so is upland's bumblebee saison (local brew), founder's kentucky breakfast stout is superb, and then there are a few decent seasonal releases by boston beer company (such as samuel adam's winter lager), also anchor christmas ale, several of fantome's superb releases are seasonal, also marzens (oktoberfest - paulaner makes a great one) and i think also maibocks are traditionally seasonal releases.....leinenkugels surely isn't bad beer, it's drinkable (depending on which one you get) and affordable, but they aren't the best by a long shot. of course, thats my snobbery shining through. i may mostly drink malt liquor these days, but i have a burning passion for good beer!
Two 40oz at 7.1% will fuck you up. lol I'm guessing I'd be correct in assuming that you're not a fan of energy beers, but have you ever tried Joose? It's 9.9%abv and tastes like a citrus energy drink. There's another one that I wanna try call Four Loko, which is more than 11%abv, but both Four Loko and Joose are pretty expensive.
I've only recently tried Paulaner. My cousin knows a guy who drives a Miller truck, and my cousin buys Paulaner and High Life from him for 25-50% discount. He gets Miller products VERY cheap. lol
damn him! i'd be drinking tons of high life, haha...for 25-50% off, i'd learn to love that shit. paulaner makes some wonderful beers, but their regular lager is a little bland. its not bad, not by a long shot, but its just very ordinary. i'd love that, too, for such a discount. if you haven't tried it, get him to buy some of their hefeweizen, it's wonderful also, salvator doppelbock is a good beer they make. salvator is owned by paulaner, so that might be available. it's quality, and its strong at like 7.7:cheers2: anyway, i dont like energy drinks to begin with, and i just don't really have an interest in trying an energy beer. i know they exist, but i'm willing to live without knowing what they're like
best cheap beer: miller high life runner up: busch light nesta, i just tried chimay blue at a bar the other day. that shit was awesome! i remember seeing you comment about it in another thread. i've also had the paulaner hefeweizen. pretty good too. best Leinenkugels is the honey weiss
BLEH busch light is stomach aches nasty step father. leinenkugels honey weiss is delicios though... also, dundee honey weiss.. (i think thats what its called) is amazing as well,.
I think we had some Hefeweizen a couple of weeks ago. I'll get him to ask the guy if he has Salvator.
lager, not ale. its okay. i wouldnt pass it up if it was free, but its too sweet with no backbone, imo.
fuck i almost had it right. i contemplated on writing ale for about 15 seconds... i thought it was pretty good at first, but the more i drank it the sweeter tasting (in a bad way) it got. with jwd's honey brown lager, and high life especially (i'm sure it could be a lot of beers) each 12 pack can taste different. sometimes i get one and it's delicious, sometimes they are skunky or just don't taste as great. could also be my mood at the time, but they def taste a little different. stupid clear bottles on the high life. you'd think that would happen more with imports. more time to warm up and cool down over and over, and more exposure to light.
