Casino Royale was easily my favorite Bond film. I've read 2 or 3 of Ian Fleming's actual novels and it was closest the what it seems James Bond was originally intended to be. Not to mention the story was great and Eva Green was gorgeous as Vesper Lynd.

Apart from that, some other great 007 films were The Spy Who Loved Me (a classic), Live and Let Die (not the greatest but one of my guilty pleasures), and Goldeneye (my first exposure to 007 and still one of my favorites).

roger moore should have just stuck with playing the saint, he was just great as simon templer!
man oh man... did he ever suck as james bond though!
i have no ideal how he flop at the role of bond. he should have been the "best" 007 ever.

best bond movie. that is a hard one. maybe goldfinger...maybe.

Even though it was considered a break from the usual Bond series, one of my favorites are Casino Royales starring Daniel Craig.

Quantum of Solace was my least favorite, mainly because that was (at least for me) a bit too far from what James Bond was. James Bond lost all the personality in that movie and became more of an outlaw than a secret agent.

I didn't like Casino Royale at all, saw it twice. I can understand his characterstic behaviour is missing because it's a prequel but how am I suppose to see it as a prequel when the setting is modern.

I generally like Moore's and Connery's Bond best but Goldeneye is definately in my top 3 as well :cheers2:

i grew up loving the first 15 years of bond movies, brosnan ruined it for me.... and then daniel craig came around. holy shit, he is probably the coolest man on the planet.

i just finished reading casino royale, too. the movie and the book are like two different stories, both equally amazing. connery was great but i think craig's got him beat.

    1. The world is not enough - Sophie Marceau as Elektra and the torture scene make that movie
    2. Goldeneye - Xenia onatopp and her thighs make this.
    3. Die another day - Miranda frost and her posh haughtiness and seductive powers.

I find the question of superlatives to be rather pointless. I asses each film on its own merits.

Interestingly, nobody has mentioned Timothy Dalton. He took the whole thing to seriously and sometimes overacted.

I quite liked On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds Are Forever.

My favourite is YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE - 1967 (Seans last movie)

But I also like these 2

For your Eyes only - 1981 (Roger Moore)
View to a Kill - 1985 (Rogers last movie)

No Diamonds Are Forever was Sean's last one for Broccoli productions. Later on he did Never Say Never but this was not an official Bond film.
