Bjork's music is just too wierd. She does have a nice voice, but I just can't get in the grove.

I'm surprised that 10,000 Maniacs, Juliana Hatfield Three only got one vote each. Nobody has mentioned Letters to Cleo. Good stuff that. I would have to vote Hatfield. I also love the Cranberries, the sundays are good, I've only heard "In the waiting line" by Zero 7, but I love that song, the beat, the nice vocals. I can't get into Jefferson Airplane, except for White Rabbit. Nice voice, just not digging the rest of the sound.

Lately I've really been getting into Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Taylor Swift, Danni Leigh, Joss Stone, Norah Jones and Miranda Lambert. But wait, what?

Damn, why not? There goes some of my favorite female singers. OK, yeah, I'm going to have to say The Juliana Hatfield Three. That's a band, not a solo artist with a backup band. She has solo albums, but "Become what you are", which is my favorite is sung by "The Juliana Hatfield Three"

Zero 7 are just 2 Djs who have guest performers. I really think Beth Gibbons needs to seriously put out some new stuff with Portishead. Or have/are they? I've been out of the know for awhile. Last album I heard with her was with Rustin Man, and it was nothing to write home about. Madeleine Peyroux is great, but she's kind of her own entity. I had forgotten all about Letters to Cleo. I guess since my mind is in the 90s now what about Hole, Veruca Salt, The Deeelites, or Sheryl Crowe and The Tuesday Night Music Club.
