I have heard many wonderful things about BC. I have learned something of the experiences, and the ways of life, on Salt Spring; beautiful, peaceful.

In the city, in the tumultuous events near my 'physical self', I live mostly in great peace. Knowing of these experiences, remembering places and times like this in my own life, brings a feeling of peace. The Magical ScrubJay story happened in a place that I have frequented often, UCLA Botanical Gardens. It is odd in that it is in a big city, a crowded area, and, yet, the gardens act as a sound and air buffer; when I enter the gardens there are few people, it is often virtually empty, and it becomes quiet except for the natural sounds in this giving little oasis. I hope to find a physical and spiritual oasis one day to live and create in, always knowing the here and now.

Mmm, yes. BC holds many manifestations of the extremes, I've found. (Either that or I do ) I really enjoyed your scrubjay story. ...It instantly portrayed your intimacy with nature. There are many oasis' around where I live, such as Xenia , as well as seemingly endless deserts which I no longer visit.
