^ i know. i don't currently have any babies but if/when i do, they will be breastfed and wear cloth diapers. it just seems so much more in touch with the child to wash their little diapers and pin them on them than make them wear that itchy garbage from the store. cloth has to be healthier anyway. i wouldn't want to wear paper drawers! and i also have always wondered why a woman who was around her baby plenty and was physically able would choose NOT to nurse! but then, i've never been there so i've no right to say anything. peace, mamas!
Brads parents have to use cloth diapers because their son has autism with SID and can't wear the other ones. I think its a good idea, store ones are a waste of money not to mention bad for the environment big time, I mean how many diapers does a baby go through a day? I’m guessing a lot, I haven’t really been paying attention haha
The average baby goes through 12-14 dipes a day as a newborn, 8-10 from 2months to about 12 months, and then about 6-8 dipes a day until they get to the training age. And if they take until 3 years old, that's a lot of dipes. But the clothies are SOOO nice.
like i said, i'd rather have to clean a bunch of them a day then have dirty store ones until garbage day a weeks worth of diapers...fun haha
It's true!! I used paper diapers on my son (big regret), and I will never forget the way that diaper genie thing smelled. I could not get the stench out of it, even with bleach. Now, with cloth, it never smells because they are clean before I give them a chance. I don't understand why people think cloth diapering is gross, I find putting shit in the trash or keeping it around for a week waiting for trash pick up so much grosser!!! Anyway, if disposable dipe users were using their diapers properly, they would be dumping the poo in the toilet (where it belongs) like cloth diaper users do, but I do not know one person that does that....laziness!!! Cloth for all butts!!!
