And there are still people who think he's doing an amazing job I don't pretend to understand that and how they're okay with his behaviors devolving us instead of really "making us great again."

I have to wonder about how many pro-Trump voters now wish they voted Democratic; I also wonder at those morons who chafed under the idea of having a BLACK man as a President.

In their thinking back, I'm willing to wager that, whether they would openly admit it or not, they would be of the opinion that "we didn't know what a good thing we had until we no longer had it."

That's exactly why we need to remove 47 ASAP since it will take time to fix all of the shit he fucked up and that Vance is likely to continue to fuck up... because he has no fucking clue about much of anything. The US Government should not be afraid of anyone, and I don't know what's scary about this Miller character but when I was out shopping a little while ago, I saw a bunch of dudes hanging out around the barber shop who are definitely scarier but it's clear that we need to get to work restoring our image and reputation before "being Amercan" doesn't mean shit.

We the people of the United States got ourselves into this mess by doing the unthinkable: Allowing a convicted felon to be POTUS. We knew better. We should not have allowed this to happen but in what world was this man better than electing a woman - and a Black woman at that - to become POTUS? We did this to ourselves so we have to get ourselves out of this clusterfuck because no one else can - or will - do it for us. Since the election is over and done with, there are no options for us other than to get our members of Congress to take action against this fascist who would be king and do something about they sycophants that believe he's the answer to all of our problems... and they cannot see that he isn't and he doesn't give a fuck about them. He used them to get re-elected and has discarded them... again.

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it and we are royally, well, and truly fucked.

 

I will never forget the day I when I had to go to a local sporting goods store, to buy a birthday gift for my nephew.

This was back when Obama was campaigning for his first term.

During some "chitchat" over the counter, the owner somehow got into politics.

He asked me, almost jokingly, "You wouldn't vote for a black guy to be President, would you?"

I just looked at him, and simply said, "Why not? Color has nothing to do with how good or bad a president ANY man will be." (I don;t think the guy expected THAT answer!)

He didn't have time to answer, as I just left my item on the counter and walked out.

Needless to say, I never visited this shop again...........

 

I don't believe a stranger would ask you something like this in this day and age...back then anyways. These days these assholes are a little bolder with their racism so I wouldn't be as surprised. When I think of all the work that was done through the 1960s to get rid of that shit and bury it pretty deep...just to have that orange shit and his ilk say it's OK. Believe it, this asshole DID hit me with this question, and I'm thankful that I was able to answer him civilly and cooly before walking out of the store....what an asshole.

Just to show you how blatantly racist some bigots can be, quite a number of years back, I was at a flea market, and saw a large box full of "GI Joe" action figures (I am a dedicated, lifelong collector; though most of my collection is transportation related, I also collect Americana and old military toys)

Anyway, this guy was rummaging through this box, and I saw him pull out a Tuskegee Airman figure; he looked at it, made a face, muttered something, and then flung it aside like it was contaminated, before walking away (the dealer saw all this)

I reached into the box, and pulled out the discarded Tuskegee Airman figure; I said to myself, "I've go to add this fellow to my collection."

When I went to pay the dealer (who obviously overheard the comment to myself) he just pushed my hand away, and said: "I heard what you said; you're obviously not like that other guy......this 'Joe" is on the house!"

What a kind gesture! (you may be sure I thanked him! I also came back with a cold drink that I thought he'd appreciate)

Pretty damn sad when racism and bigotry (of ANY kind) even carries over into TOYS.

Today, that Tuskegee Airman figure proudly is part of my collection, and I value it even more because of that flea market dealer's kind gesture.

I'll never forget that day, as long as I live............

 

When you have a POTUS who is a known racist and he wants to take the country back to a time when it was dangerously racist, that opens yet another Pandora's Box that sends a message to all the racists in the country that their President is okay with them being racist and, presumably, is going to have their back when they get in trouble for their racist behaviors. These idiots today do not know what it's like to be in the middle of a race riot; they don't know about not being able to go into certain parts of town lest you get attacked and maybe killed because of the color of your skin. They think they'll be protected from prosecution for spouting their racist rhetoric - and rhetoric that we had put way behind us and had made great inroads against racism and racial discrimination...

Until they put this fucker into office. Again. He thinks that rolling us back to being a racist country again is what makes us great and all those who believe his shit... needs serious psychiatric help. This isn't like the old days when racists did their dirt and, for the most part, got away with it; today, they get in someone's face with that racist bullshit and they're liable to get shot because there are a lot of people who'd see this as a great disrespect... and kill you for it so, yeah, it's best for the racist to keep their asinine beliefs to themselves.
