question: do young ethnic textured locks shrink much during the locking process? if it does, i assume the shrinkage to be minimal. correct me if im wrong

nah, no shrinkage at all. in fact, my hair has only gotten longer since i started my locks.

oh and I agree....we all look way better with teh dreads. Fickle...what color did you dye?

 

tried to dye it redder, but there was only enough in the box for my roots. so now i have purplish reddish roots (the colour didn't turn out the way it was meant to lol) and the rest is orange-ish. waiting on some more dye (hopefully a better red this time) to dye the orange bits. thinking of leaving a couple of dreads, or the tips orange. not sure. either way the roots will be darker than the rest, but i kinda dig it. it's either gonna turn out awesome or really fucked up.

 

^^^ if anything it'll at least be a conversation starter with strangers

it sounds exciting too. let us know how it turns out (ie pictures!)
