very drinkable, I like it so far. I think the place only stocks the weird shit for me. 11$ for 6 of them.

I drink growlers almost every day.

1 week if unopened and the tape is still on it, 2 days if opened. You can wait longer but it loses a lot of flavors, and overall energy. Basically gets flat. The worst thing that will happen is it tastes like shit and loses potency

I might be in love with you

Just backed up and read this all, rat the reason you feel like shit is because you barely drink now. No tolerance and you aren't used to hangovers either. You probably feel pretty damn good and balanced based on the way you eat, throw some booze it's like a sledgehammer to your balance.

I just happen to like sledgehammers :punk:

the concensus seams to be in, and if it was me looking to buy this beer i would wait until there was a week before and then have them bottle it. you have all the facts and opinions now so what you do is up to you.

they just got the local brewery into the mix at the local bar so i am quite stoked:2thumbsup:

my wife and i are maybe gonna make some spiced vodka by soaking some herbs in it. many herbal liqueurs are made in a similar way.

anyone ever try this stuff? sounds pretty interesting

a week before what? til i can get down there?

the problem is, they are going to sell out of it.
i could probably have them bottle it for me now, that should last better than a growler. but i don't think they do that.
    i might call and ask

Suggestions anyone. I am not a beer drinker but I am having guests for dinner tomorrow. He only drinks beer, usually Stella on tap or Innes and Gunn.

I am making a bourbon pecan pork loin roast with oven potatoes and carrots. Green beans and a spinach salad that has a garlic dressing. A tarte tatin for enders.

I would like a beer that compliments the food. Possibly even different beer for the main course and enders.

    Thanks. :)

Well you know that anything with alcohol had all the germs killed. You can never say that with certainty about water.

that's not true for (most) beer. some might get potent enough to kill the micro-organisms, but you have to get up to 30% or so (i'm guessing there, but i know 6% is not strong enough to kill bacteria or yeast)

    maybe you were being sarcastic

yeast wont give you disease. that i know of. in order to create beer, part of the process is boiling the wort. this will kill the bacteria which is why you will not get sick from beer. (cant make promises on stuff like the bottles they are stored in...but the beer will not make you sick if it is made correctly)
