I don't think they quite had the beer in mind when they designed the Kwak glass. It was designed so coach-drivers could drink and drive. The driver's seat would have the glass holder and a special glass would be brought out (they weren't allowed to leave the coach and horses). The bulbous part at the bottom would act as a counter-balance weight so when the coach hit a bump on the road or trail, the beer would not spill everywhere. The glass would just rock back and forth. It has no practical use today unless you live in a country like Japan that allows you to drink while in a moving vehicle. I'd even be so bold as to say that your Delirium Tremens snifter would be a better choice in terms of accentuating aroma. I've been thinking about getting on just because it is a very unique glass. At the moment though I don't really have the money to spend on beer glasses. I don't think it would be a total waste if you find you don't like Kwak. It looks like it would make a good weizen-style glass although you've already stated you have one. Anyways, that's all from me. One of these days I'll post pictures of my beer glass collection.
Usally can - Right now, bottle. Cans are little cheaper but a prefer a bottle. Glasses not so much - more dishes......
Bottle. Cans are more expensive here than bottles so they're out and why dirty extra dishes is my reason for no glass.
It depends but at home or where ever, if it's a good quality beer than glass, but if it's a shitty bud or something, why waste a dish? lol
i like all the above but i just picked bottle mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i want a beer Edit: mail me a beer
i like Miller High Life, REGULAR, in longnecks! (And i'll bet y'all thought i'd say Lone Star ~ :rofl
This may have been mentioned before ~ Ever noticed how you have to go to the bathroom, a LOT , the next day after drinking at a club? It's the way they wash the glasses that causes that, so if i'm out, it is Guaran-damn-teed i'll be drinking from a bottle!
I got a bit of a CAMRA flashback when I saw the thread title, as the whole bottle thing is a bit of a touchy subject with the real ale crowd. I however am an iconoclast and prefer beer in a bottle, and am of the opinion that bottle conditioned beer is as legitimate as cask conditioned. I'll only drink from a can if I'm already drunk, there are few things I'm snobbish about, but fuck be tinned beer tastes bad.
