True, but when someone goes from being bedridden and not being able to even sit up in their deathbed, to being able to walk around and enjoy life......that's a bit more than a placebo.
Actually the article states that the extract from bee venom actually tears apart the outer layer of the HIV virus which means it cannot mutate into another, resistant form. Tell the HIV virus, Resistance is Futile...
well, let's hope that the virus can't mutate. HIV has thus far proven to be remarkably adaptable. I wouldn't be surprised if the virus developed a heavy duty protein coat that could resist treatment the proposed gell would not necessarily be much better than using a condom alone using the gell and not a condom might be much less effective, and give people a false sense of protection really, we already know how to prevent HIV. Wear a rubber when you have sex, and avoid butt seks except with a monogamous, tested partner
I hope you are not among those who mistakenly believe that anal sex causes HIV/AIDS. http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Q140160.html
nah, that's why he said with a tested, monogamous partner. i think there is a higher likelihood of transmission of HIV with anal sex, since tearing is probably more common.
no. anal sex does not cause HIV infection. rates of transmission of HIV are higher than in other forms of sex, since anal tissues can easily tear during anal sex and so can condoms. anal sex creates greater opportunities for the virus to be transmitted this is why I said "except with a monogamous, tested partner". if neither partner is HIV+, there is no opportunity for viral transmission however, it is important to keep in mind that tests for HIV antibodies, the most common form of HIV test, can take up to 6 months to be accurate, though most people develop detectable antibodies well before then more expensive RNA direct testing methods can be accurate in less than 11 days from infection it's still safer to avoid anal sex in so far as tests may be inaccurate, and sometimes partners may lie about their sexual histories or test status more information about HIV testing is available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/testing/resources/qa/index.htm this has been a public service announcement
I do! Vaginas...yuck! srsly, while vaginal sex also carries some risk of HIV infection, vaginal sex with a condom is much safer than anal sex with a condom
I bet organic chemists can create identical molecular compounds of the bee venom to mass produce it without harvesting it from bees.
What if some one with aids lets them self get stung by some bees ? Would the bee venom kill the aids virous by its self ? desert rat
^ my guess here is no. it's not even clear if the bee venom bound to nano particles would do any good
Sounds promising but there's no financial benefit to curing AIDS or HIV. There too much money to be made in the treatment of the disease rather then finding a cure.
Maybe they can heal a lot of AIDS patients and give them miracles. Sounds like there is a glimmer of hope.
