yeah, I know that, I guess I'm just impatient If I never would have started shaving them, in the first place, I'm sure it wouldn't bother me. I think armpits are annoying altogether, shaved or not. lol.
Moon, as a lot of guys think it's a "turn off" ... I understand, and empathize. But if he would go as far, to not be attracted to you, or not date you...whatever anymore, because of it, then he's not worth it in the first place. If you stopped shaving, and he accepted it, I think it would prove all the more, that you have a good, strong relationship. You should never, NOT do something that is so personal to you, because of anyone else, even a lover. If growing out your hair, would make you happy, who cares what he thinks.
In the summertime i shave, when I feel the need. Too cold to shave in the wintertime, though. I am thinking about cutting down slowly. from twice a month to once a month, and then never next Summer. Wish me luck. Shaving is a pain in the ass.
Good luck-it takes a degree of personal strength to publicly bare hairy legs (if you're female!), as there are so many negative reactions, particularly if hair is dark + obvious. It's sad that something so normal + natural as hair is frowned on by so many after social brainwashing that somehow this hair is unfeminine. Obviously it's your choice but there's a few of us enlightened enough to appreciate a woman in all her natural hairiness. Once the hair is grown out it will feel much softer + save you on time, money + pain by giving up razors. Enjoy the sensuality of breeze or running your fingers thru' hairs. Good luck again!
Personally, I can't stand body hair. I've never liked it. But if having hair on your body is what you want, then more power to you. It's all about personal choice.
Maybe I'm a freak but I think women that shave their pubes look like little girls and thats kinda weird. The bushier the better in my opinion. As far as leg hair goes, I don't really care there either...
glad to have a male opinion in the mix! i totally agree with you....why has it become attractive for grown women to look pre-pubescent????
I don't understand the appeal of shaved genitals period. The hair does get in the way a little here and there, but on the other hand it is SO hot! Hair is suppose to be there, and one of the major reasons for it isn't to keep you warm, it's to help make your pheromones (sex attractant chemicals) and your scent airborn... no wonder I'm more attracted to women that don't shave, and have way better sex with them. Read up on it!
ugh shaving down there SUCKS!!!!! all it does is itch and burn and GAHHH! i tried it a few times, well I used to regularly truthfully and it was nothing but a pain in the fucking arse. i gave up on that and im much happier being a hairy girl down there lol
I think men want women to have no hair cause it makes them seem like a child. Men feel threatened by hairy women. Julia Roberts got photograhed on a NYC street with hairy armpits, and she got trashed in the press. shag me!
It's always going to be true that the world is full of people who feel the need to conform to society's prejudices, reject the natural human body and use consumer products to the max. But for people who feel that way, why come to a community that values the hippie ethic to boast about a lack of courage and imagination? Freedom is either priceless or worthless--some of us cherish it and some just throw it in the trash.
thank you for your insight i am used to facing some negative reactions about not shaving, but i have been REALLY surprised at some of the posts on this thread....guess i just assumed people on hip forums would be a bit more outside the box on this issue....interesting
Even in a more 'sympathetic' environment, you still find conformists types. I'll confess that I fit into this category as far as grooming standards are concerned. I usually keep my hair cut short as it can get unruly otherwise. While I do have a beard, I do keep it trimmed, particularly by the neck. Tell me about it! Well, some people don't (and probably won't) appreciate what they have...until they lose it!
