barefoot in winter?

you think its bad that we have to wear shoes at school?
our school we're forced to wear black (must be black as if colors gona have an impact on education) leather uppers. if we wear thongs/flip flops at all, we get sent home. my school is psycho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

well maybe one day this week coming up ill bring flip flops and not wear them and see how long it takes me to get in trouble. ill bring them as a back up.

i used to go to this one private school but it was open education or something weird but any how...if you didnt tuck your shirt in, you got a detention. and we had to waer these colored polos with slacks...

 

Is this a private school? I'm getting up there in years, and I can remember some real strict public and private schools, but never any thing quite like what you describe! In fact, where I've lived, dress codes went out in 1970, when I was a senior! Before that, however

I guess a few schools here in Maine came to this freedom a little later, maybe in the 80s, but I wasn't paying attention. It has looked pretty free up here since around 1990 though.

 

I usually go bare foot, but in winter I'll put on socks

 

i don't wear flipflops here in the wintertime. but i do wear chucks. i like that they're flat and it feels like i'm walking on the ground anyway, even though i can't directly feel the earth beneath me.

 

I am either in flip flops or barefoot, winter, our coldest it gets is in the 40's.

I too am either barefoot or in flip flops during the winter, though it's now getting a bit nippy for barefooting in the late evening and early morning. It's delightful here during our sunny autum and winter days.

 

In my country sometimes is possible walk barefoot outdoors,winter is not too cold.
