I take it, you haven't seen any fellow West London barefooters then? So hopefully, this should bring them out of the closet. Or perhaps we should get a London barefooters get together?

The West London quite is dead: During about 5 years I've just seen about 3 barefooted people. (2 children of them.)
People are looking at me like I would be an extraterrestrial because I walk everywhere and almost all year barefooted every year.

    And what about you, Mo?

I think it could be nice if barefooted people meet sometimes to celebrate THE HEALTHY NATURAL barefooted lifestyle with some drinks in a pub in a pub garden. This weekend should be a nice warm weather.

    What location are you, Mo?

    :cheers2:

I am in North East London. Over the last year or so, I have seen only 2 barefooters both females. The last one I saw was about 2 weeks ago walking towards our local town centre. I caught up with her and said how good it was to see a barefooter and we got chatting away about benefits of barefooting until we both went in our separate directions. I didn't even get her number!

Ha ha ha ....North East London...it is the opposite side of the world. But by tube it is still possible by District Line to the tube station: "Kew Gardens".

Yes, it is pity you didn't get her number. People who like this NATURAL (= originally and naturally NORMAL) lifestyle should know there are more people like me, IN THE STREETS in the real life, not only talking on the forums.

Tell us more about your barefoot life. How long? Where do you go? Any pictures of your feet.

    How long?
    About last 5 years.
    And you?

    Where do you go?
Everywhere. All the time. I am NOT the one who one time per week goes somewhere barefooted. I walk every day everywhere barefooted. It quite is natural for me, normal.
    And you?

No. I do not have any picture of my barefooted feet. I am not any fanatic / fetishist to do so. To walk barefooted is quite normal, natural for me. If anyone wants to see my barefooted feet, we can meet personally... Let's go for a drink. Yes, sometimes, people in the streets want to take a picture but I do not agree. I am not anything special or a freak to be on a picture. By the way, it is my private business. And it is natural to walk barefooted. (Girls who wear winter shoes or/and wellingtons in the hot dry summer days are ridiculous freaks! Ridiculous fashion style!) I do not stop people in the streets asking them to take pictures of their feet in socks and shoes, either! Sometimes people in the streets, call to me: "YOU ARE SEXY!!!", are whistling at me, cars honk at me, etc...even though I am not a girl, I am a male! I do not wear anything sexy! Just shorts and some jacket. Yes, in this puritanical, hypocritically age, maybe for some people, shorts above knees are sexy. Crazy world...
    :cheers2:
P.S. I wear rings on my toes and a bangle on my ankle. But such details cannot be so visible from a going car to be whistling at me from a car.

I am not a total barefooter like yourself but have been barefooting for about 16 years now. I go to corner shops, shopping malls and public transport barefoot. I also ALWAYS drive barefoot too. Sorry I asked about pictures. There is another thread in this forum where others have been putting pictures of their feet. It wasn't being freakish or fetishist, just sharing. I guess its the same where it is taken for a norm that everyone goes out drinking and goes to the pub. Well I am Teetotaller, therefore I don't go to the pub.

I do not allow anyone to take a picture of my feet because it offends me by this one. Because the NOT barefooted majority looks at us like we would be some freaks they have to have a picture of them in spite of the fact walking barefooted is quite NATURALLY NORMAL if the pavements are not too cold and in ANY buildings all the year going barefoot is OK. The majority DISCRIMINATE us because we are not allowed to walk everywhere barefooted, especially in a job (for example in a office where are allowed shorts and T-shirts. So, why not barefooted??!!!!) Further more, males are DISCRIMINATED against females because females are almost ALWAYS allowed not to weare socks / stocking in sandals unlike males are forced in this case to wear socks and closed boots (moccasins) (for axample in a job in a office).

No problem you are a Teetotaller. I just thought we could go from a pub (a pub's garden) for a trip to a park (barefooted, of course) to continue our little party. From Kew Gardens to beautiful Richmond Park. But to have a fun with a soft drink is not so cool. But OK, you could take a limonade on the trip and in a pub you can have a coffee or tea or limonade / juice. The weather forecast for the next days is beautiful: it should be pretty well warm and evenings / nights will be the best for the one because it will not be too hot but nicely warm. I feel this week (or two ones) are the last ones because the summer has been finishing (the second half of August already is coming) and then the weather will be shit like usually in UK.

By the way, do you know some girls who like to walk barefooted?! With girls could be more fun....

Broken glass is a prejudice / preconception. I walk barefooted also very often in nights for last 5 years and no accident with broken glass. Of course, you must watch your way! I usually walk the same ways in the streets, so I already know where it usually is OK and where I have to be more careful. I already know every piece of the pavements in my area. Simple. (By the way, in the nights, broken glass on pavements is shining very much because the light from the street lamps (street lighting ) is reflected off from the broken glass. The broken glass is better visible in the nights than in the day light, even! That's paradox, isn't it!)

    autophobe2e, What location are you???

south london, see what i was getting at with the "night out" thing was less to do with it being night time and more to do with alchohol consumption. i like to walk at least a few miles after i drink (it helps me to be less hungover the next day) and i often see broken glass outside the pubs where i live late on a friday/saturday night. after a few drinks, i always have to try and keep a clear head on my shoulders in case there are muggers about, add to this the paranoia of stepping on something sharp and it becomes a bit of a headache. (not to mention its hard to keep a lookout for local scoundrels when you keep having to check the ground) i'd also feel a lot more comfortable wearing shoes should i ever have to peg it away.

i dunno that i'm confident enough to run in my barefeet should i have to. and although i havent had to run late at night now for a good few years, it gives me peace of mind to know that i can should i have to. for that reason, i don't think i would feel comfortable in bare feet after a night out. in the day, maybe.

I've never thought it would be so difficult to get some people from "BAREFOOT FORUM" who would go for a drink BAREFOOTED:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
    autophobe2e:
Hmmm, I see, you just are the "Sunday barefoot walker" (like most phoney those phoney barefoot people) and that's why you enjoy to take the pictures because barefoot is something special for you. But not for me. Barefoot QUITE is NORMAL for me because BAREFOOT IS NATURALLY NORMAL FOR OUR FEET. It just is needed our feet can be got used back to the NATURALLY NORMAL condition so as not to be so sensitive. The anti-social crazy commercial habit to wear shoes / socks, made our feet toooo sensitive. I wonder whether there are some people like me who walk barefoot EVERYWHERE EVERY DAY almost for all the year and in the winters barefoot in flip-flops???

For someone trying to convince people to go barefoot WITH you, you're doing a remarkably good job of being considerably more anti-social than wearing shoes could ever be, even if you're right and it is.... which does not seem to be the case.

    RooRshack:

Who is trying to convince people to go barefoot with me???? That's crazy and rude interpretation!
I just suggested the meeting of barefooters (I thought at least 5 people will reply me saying YES!, that's great idea!). I thought barefooters would be glad to meet other barefooters. I thought I would put together several barefooters (at least 5 people) who would go for a drink ALL together.

Then I just was surprised there are NOT the REAL barefooters. I realized people prefer to talk about barefoot to REALLY walk barefoot in the streets because they are scared of the anti-social behaviour of the majority's reaction. That's why they are not the real barefooters...

    Yay london barefooters!

I can't round my way, too much dog shit and broken glass. Me and the little one go barefoot when and where we can, mainly in park/on grass and on smoother floor surfaces that aren't likely to have been used as a drunken bottle smashing battle ground.. to be fair, croyden isn't the nicest place to be barefooting, not a very friendly reaction to it....
