You can't read the stories and draw your own conclusions on how to best deal with individuals that misuse their authority or ownership of firearms? I think you really make my case for the fact that most that are most vocal in upholding rights to firearms are people that shouldn't be allowed to own them. And people that only feel important when they own one.

No one asks you to give them up, but you do have a responsibility to use them wisey. And no where does the bill of rights give your the right to automatic weapons when the police force of your nation does not have a right to them.

You can own guns, but if you don't stand behind a change in policy Nazism can still happen again. In fact the Bush family fortune and power came from the Nazis. Sure go ahead. Pass a gun ban. And what good will that do? Really. Drugs are illegal. You dont have to look very hard on this website to find hundreds of examples of people more or less openly violating that law. Underage drinking is illegal. Bet you can find hundreds of examples of under 21 year olds on this website that engage in underage drinking too. Just becasue you make something illegal it isn't going to stop the supply as long as there is a demand. That's why America's "War on Drugs" is so laughable. People want it they will find a way to get it. Criminals want guns and they get them. Mostly illegally. Make them illegal and you havent done anything but take the guns out of the hands of the people that purchase them within the law and use them responsably.

You want to ban guns because they kill people. OK. SO lets ban and destroy all our cars, buses and trains. All our airplanes. All our cigarettes(although thats probably on the way). All our fast food. All of our factories. And shit, since people kill so many people and animals lets go ahead and kill all the people too. How about a huge mass suicide? But then again we cant shoot ourselves in the head since we've banned all the guns. Gonna have to use a blade or a rope.

And I dont own weapons to make up for a lack of self esteem or to impress anyone. That argument is utterly rediculous. I own weapons to #1 HUNT. Because animals fucking taste good. #2 to blast the living shit out of anyone that tries to do harm to me, my wife or my children.

How would your right to own a gun have prevented any of those pictures? How would owning a gun have prevented the assholes in New Orleans from killing innocent pets. The only thing that can prevent that from happening in the future is the abhorrence of the public to these acts in the future and the malefactors being held accountable.
