Whats embarressing about Master P? Will Smith, I understand, another one of my guilty pleasures....(i love the wild wild west song)
gosh! mine are : -boy george and culture club (eheheh... my father is always kidding me because of this) -aqua (barbie girl and so on... i'm listening to them right now) but i'm a serious person (what?!?!? when?!?!?!), so i listen to serious music most of the time...
What the fuck is wrong with Tool? Have you ever heard Nine Inch Nails? If you listen to it, it gets really deep and it feels like a machine. Trent rocks! Your ashamed with liking the Dead? I'm hearing them now and loving it!
Marilyn Manson! Well, a few songs anyway... The slow blues based ones. I'm way to old for this shit...
Ok, I have read over the responses, and while I may hate or like some of the bands listed, no one should take a crack at another for the bands they like or dont like. Some of us are teenagers, some of us are old farts, and some of us fall in between somewhere. What we like is what we like, and not what anyone expects us to like or for us to expect others to like. Anyway, with that having been said, I am a lover of classic rock from the 70's, so with that being known, bands I am ashamed to admit that I like? Well ABBA comes to mind. They are mainly disco, which I hate, but man could those girls sing. Also, Metallica. I am not for the heavy metal headbanging stuff, but early Metallica I can really get into, especially the And Justice for All album. I suppose there are others, but I really aint ashamed to admit it. Heck, I aint really ashamed to admit these two bands, but.....oh well.
Dont be embarrassed about liking old MJ songs. His old stuff is where it's at. His new, self agrandising stuff (Earth Song etc.) is rubbish, but the older stuff is tops. And Ill fight anyone who says otherwise.... Anyway, I noticed that earlier this week I started tapping my feet to Rhianna's Umbrella. I felt dirty straight afterwards, but the fact is, I think it's quite a good pop song.
Most of mine have already been listed, but here goes. I have to admit I like Rob Thomas, Paul Simon, ABBA (but only the song Dancing Queen) and Weezer. But truthfully, I don't see a damn thing wrong with liking any of these-they are all very talented. I love Weezer's new song Pork and Beans.
Marvin Gaye and Tracy Chapman. Man they have amazing voices. I wouldn't say I'm ashamed to like their music, I just feel kinda weird telling people that I do.
I guess you're just too old to take self-absorbed teen-aged 'angst' seriously anymore. Me too. But, other than that 'music just fits moods' and I have every single mood, at one point or another, under the sun. The so-sweet-it'll-make-ya-sick stuff or the self-pitying-darker-than-thou stuff I do usually keep to myself though.
Kid Rock... i have no idea why i like his music but i do and N.E.R.D. their songs really make me wanna tap my foot
