everyone loses about 100 hairs a day during brusshing washing etc. i was worried about this so i asked my hair dresser and she said its totally normal. with men its their mothers side that the genetics for baldness comes from. also as men age head hair folicles become less able to tolerate testosterone so hence the tend to bald whereas women with less testosterone dont really get this problem

The best thing to do is to go to a dermatologist. He or she will examine your hair and will tell you the cause of the hair loss and if there is any remedy. For the common alopecia androgenica there are only two proven remedies: minoxidil and propecia (finasteride). Do avoid capilar centres or "clinics" such as Svenson: they are a total fraud. puh-leeeze! forget going to the doc! Lots of women dig big foreheads. Bald men are very sexy. What is it with men and their hair? Is the world really such a shallow place, that you'd go to the doctor for something that is not a problem, does not make you sick, for medication that may have unexpected side effects, purely for vanity's sake? Just shave it off, go for the slick shiny look. Chicks dig it. you think these guys have any problem getting laid? Even if they weren't movie actors?
Thanks, Mamaboogie, but not even I, a bald guy, believe that. Some chicks dig it; some chicks don't. I just made the same point in another post in this forum, under "Why that slightly heavy girl is hot...." Some guys aren't the least bit put off by overweight women. Some actually prefer it. And some can't become aroused by a fat chick at all. I'm one who can't. Something I've noticed--and this is purely apocryphal, based entirely on my own non-scientific survey of women I've loved--is that mostly, the ones who thought my bald head was attractive had bald fathers. They grew up with the impression that "bald = male," I guess. But maybe that's bullshit. I don't know. What I do know is that most of us are never going to turn everyone of the opposite sex on (or the same sex, if we happen to be gay). There are a few people so beautiful that they seem to turn everyone on, but those individuals are rare. I once had an acquaintance like that. He looked like the Brawny Paper Towel man (the first one, not the new one, who's a little less pretty). Women literally threw themselves at his feet. Once, I actually observed that happen. We were at a bar, and a woman fell to her knees at his feet sobbing, "You've slept with every other woman in this place! Why won't you sleep with MEEEEE?!" She was literally weeping, begging, clutching at his pants leg. It was pathetic. He didn't leave with her. On the down side (if that's not enough of a down side), he'd been married five times. He paid more out in alimony than he got to keep. I have no idea whether his drop-dead-gorgeous looks were a blessing, or a curse. But very, very few of us have that. I suspect the lives of those who do are so different, most of us can't even imagine it.
Im 21 and have a receeding hairline.. im paranoid of it.. i shaved my head once to just be open about it.. but i looked like doctor cox... i look to chris martin, but his famous and has a wife.. i figure if i ever broke up with my girlfriend.. i'd probabaly never be able to get another decent girl.. so im kinda scared by that. But im trying to be confident in other things.. not just my looks. if im not worried about it, maybe chicks wont be either. I just cut all my hair off today...not because I'm going bald, but because I wanted to. Relax, some women (more than you think) find bald men sexy.
