I can't imagine how seeing you two could "ruin" someone's experience. not like there wasn't enough room to take a couple steps in another direction if you're disturbed by what you see. By the way, I saw you guys humping too. Too funny... it gave me a good chuckle.
We were thrown in jail in a little town in tennessee the day before the festival... SCI explain my experience with the bust in *stunning* detail in "Texas." (coincidentally the first track on my Roo-made CD, when I listened I was shocked) BUT, by some miracle we made it there on time! I was kinda bummed out all weekend, but many, many people helped me through with kindness, legal advice, hugs, and assurances that everything would be OK... and it was... I'm finally in the clear but TODAY my friends are "back to TN" for their day in court =( and it's my birthday!!!! =(
this was my first bonnaroo experience and i have to say i am boycotting bonnaroo next year. it was just too big , too un organized , too trashed. the music was awesome but i missed the dead because we were freezing waiting and some of me and my friends ate some bad mescalin i guess because we all ended up having a bad trip and being afraid to come out of the tent. and we could hear the dead roarin when we were at campsite 41 !!! that was even more depressing. but i saw some amazing shows and would not trade the experience i had for anything. but the smells of the shit mud was really really foul, i tried not to let it bother me too much but i did - alot. the land was trashed and i felt really bad for taking part in that. i hated seeing people throw thier fucking trash where ever they pleased. but cheese played an amazing show, yander mountain sounded great. galactic played the best show i have ever seen them play ( and the lightning during that show was magical ) bob dylan was good and ani kicked ass ! i am thinking of going to the high sierra fest next year, some of my friends in the spoonfed tribe said they had tons of fun playing there this summer and it was still pretty small. anybody catch that fest ? i would apperciate opinions !
the new issue of relix mag says only about 5000 (I think) were at High Sierra this year. I wasn't there (too far for me), but smaller fests are so great. I'm with you, don't know if I'd do Bonnaroo again because of the hugeness.... but if there's a good lineup....maybe I'll have to go. And just suffer <grin> esp Panic would be good. I miss them.
