I think their needs to be a recount - rockstock had clearly taking a commanding lead in the late stages of the race.


In all respect to him as he doesn't get any here, we should at least be kind enough to give him a fair vote in an award he most certainly deserves.

 

The Olympic Committee has flatly refused to rescore an event once the judges scores are in, even if a mistake has been made. I am NOT a member of the Olympic Committee, though. As a judge of this competition (actually, THE judge, this is not a popular vote), I would am ill disposed to change my call as that would set a bad precedent.

HOWEVER, I will allow you to make an appeal to bandit28 to voluntarily give up his medal so it may be awarded to Rockstock2004. If bandit28 will submit to this thread a written statement renouncing his bronze medal, I will then award it to Rockstock2004. That's as fair a call as I can make under the circumstances. The other medals will not be considered in this case, since that would involve numerous trading of medals. Bronze is the only medal that can be contested in this manner.

NOTE: I cannot in good conscience allow the future "village idiot" awards to be contested or given up in the same manner. They are single awards and I intend to stand firm by my call in those awards.

I don't know if you knew this but people who chase tornados for a living generally have PH.Ds. Which you dont have at 20 unless you are the world's smartest kid...which I doubt you are because then we all would have heard about you.

And if you do chase tornados...you obviously dont recieve funding because no one would fund some punk kid with a band and a telescope who isnt even old enough to drink.

i was going to vote for someone else... but rockstock just won my vote...anyone who joins a site inteded for hippies and free thinkers and promotes himself by talking about his looks, money and material possessions really needs their brains checked... no offence make but that is kind of idiotic!

 

freedom of speech ok.. you all have the right to say who you think are idiots and so do i .. but i think a more constructive forum would be one addressing what makes an idiot an idiot in the first place and how to overcome that in order to help instead of just bash. this is just bashing. if non judgemental people dont belong here then this thread doesnt need to exist.. of course it is a respectable job to watch out for this kind of "idiocy" or whatever you wanna call it and try to clean it up but displaying someones faults for everyone to see only to embarrass and gang up on someone is unfair... those people display their own idiocy every time they post and have the right for people to judge their words from their own mouths and not from the mouths of others. this is like gossip... and it is rude and embarrassing to those people listed. ok maybe they need to hear that some things about the way they act is a little ridiculous sometimes.. but please reply to their posts... doing it in this way accomplishes nothing except truly hurting if they are not desensitized already, embarrassing or enraging those listed ... in this way they will be blinded to the truth if any that lies hidden behind why people are posting their names on here. and they will not see what you are referring to unless of course you list that too but being in a thread like this .. hardly anyone even the most open minded to constructive criticism, could respond to without feeling the need to take defense along with emotions which makes it hard for any learning to take place whatsoever. most of the people who would be potentially listed in here have enough trouble as it is responding objectively as opposed to with one sided emotionally charged opinions, so i see in no way whatsoever how this thread is positive or helpful. funny maybe... relief that you arent the only one who has thought that way about someone.. maybe that too but that doesnt excuse the fact that this is bullying and acting like a tabloid.
