Thanks. You are welcome, Trish. Anytime. If this guy stays true to form, he'll be dropping this identity pretty soon (or he'll get himself banned). It's great to get some support. Hey, there's an idea! Paul, why don't you post to one of Brocktoon's favorite threads, he could use your support. That's the kind of thing I've seen you do in the past. Go for it!
Sorry, I don't know who Superjuice or KimKong are, and sorry, but I'm not a Creationist either; these are mere assumptions on your part. I find it interesting, however, that you automatically assume that just because I oppose the public display of nudity in an exploitive manner, I must be a religious fanatic--I'm sorry, but again you're wrong. Not surprising, however, you seem to be wrong or misguided on a number of points here, but I guess you're so deluded with your righteousness, that this hasn't become apparent to you yet. Oh, but I guess you'll just argue that I'm making assumptions about people who "express themselves freely" and so you're only giving me a dose of my own medicine, in an attempt to avoid the issue that you're once again wrong. Anyway, I still find it quite sad that you'd hold to this tenuous argument that posting pictures of breasts on the internet constitutes "free speech" and that my questioning the existence of the "booby thread" constitutes suppression. You're reasoning is just not legitimate, and really trivializes the whole meaning of the concept. There are a number of detrimental consequence that can result from this kind of behaviour; as is the case with drinking, smoking, drug use, etc. Most religions condemn the use of alcohol and tobacco--which I guess in your opinion is a "suppression" of a persons rights, right? By your logic, people should be free to endulge in these if they want, and this is basically the stance that many western societies have adopted. But the negative consequences are quite well known--alcoholism, liver poisoning, cancer, etc.--yet it's still more important that the person has the "right" to use these substances, even though hundreds of thousands of deaths occur each year because of their use. Interestingly, now that religious (incidently I'm not religious at all) prohibitions have been deemed repressive, and therefore for many (such as yourself) hold no weight, secular science has been churning out study after study showing just how bad alcohol and tabacco can be, especially if not used in moderation, and now there are efforts--many government funded--underway attempting to curtail their use, especially among the young. Just think, all of this could have been avoided by just respecting age old wisdom, couldn't it have; but I guess that's what this basically boils down to--the lack of respect, and the resultant inability of our society to grasp the significance of wisdom has been accumulated over the millenia. Our modern, materialist society has become totally disaccoiated with the past, our world, and hence reality; we seem to think we know better because we're the most "advanced" civilization ever (and have supposedly revolutionary documents like the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to prove it!), but really we don't. Far from it. Sorry, but I want to go on, but I know that the response that I'm going to get from you makes this totally unecessary--you'll just spout of more inaccurate assumptions, prothelize about "freedoms" and all that--and there's just not point wasting any more of my time.
Must he do your work for you--oh, well, in public at least. Thanks for the rep point, I'm almost there, and I can't wait. Every rep from the likes of you only affirms that my theories are valid and correct. Keep 'em coming.
This guy must be the most hated person on this thread for being a boobie hater, All men ( gay and straight ) love boobies. I don't get what the big deal is. Boobs are life giving. It's like hating water or the sun. This babblefish keeps going on and on about Hilter and the U.N. and sounds more and more like the college teacher's pet who has never gotten laid and punishes himself for jerkin it. The only way this guy gets any pussy is from fucking himself. I feel sorry for him. I like this girls tit and to think he insulted it makes me wonder if there are some deep seated abuse issues stemming from his mother.
Actually it's not your argument that leads me to believe that you are who I still think you are. It's the way you write, the words you use, your punctuation, syntax, vocabulary, etc. I only know one other person who uses this your exact writing style, and I think that you are that person too. But I'll let you continue to keep this name as long as you can hold onto it, before someone bans you, as always seems to happen. Whatever makes you happy. This intriques me, how do you come to the conclusion that my reasoning isn't legitiamte? Can you point out the fallacies in my logic, please? I'm not saying that I'm foolproof, but I don't see the holes, so I'm hoping that since you do, you will be kind enough to point them out to me. Oops. Let's stop right here for just a moment, so I can point out to you, what I meant about your syntax - See that phrase "secular science?" It's things like that which give you away. We now return to our scheduled rant: This is another one - you learned that trick of ending your argument that way from me, I'm flattered. Really. But anyway, I'm not going to go into the standard series of arguments (which you must have heard by now) about the validity of Government funded studies, especially where drugs are concerned. That's old. So let's approach this from a different direction: If we continued to respect all of the age-old wisdom, we'd still believe that the earth was the center of the universe. Age-old wisdom isn't always all that it's crakced up to be. The "rule of thumb" was age-old wisdom, allowing a man to beat his wife as long as he didn't use a stick bigger around than his thumb... there's age-old wisdom for you. How about the medical practice of bleeding? Automobiles are dangerous, but that doesn't stop people from using them. You might maintain that they are a tool and the risk is worth it. I maintain that most anything can be a tool in one way or another, even drugs, even pornography, as long as you have the experience to make proper use of it. We will never gain that experince if we continue to draw a big line around it and say "Don't go there. That's bad" Such a tactic tends to work against itself. Sex education is a case in point. It is a young practice, and we are still learning how do educate properly, but eventually it will prove a vital step forard in the growth of our society and the banishment of ignorance. The path to wisdom is through experience. One must be allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. This has been shown over and over through out history. The exercise of freedoms which harm no one directly (with the possible exception of ourselves), is simply a part of the learning process. The more of reality one experiences, the greater potential to gain wisdom. Not everyone learns well this way (your case in point). but many do. Modern society spends more time and effort trying to learn about (and from) the past than any society before it. We aren't dissasociated fromour past, we are more connected than ever. We have archeologists and far more well trained historians than ever before. We pore over old texts, correcting mistranslations and discovering, how history is written by the winners (a huge leap forward in the process of evolution in our society). We begin teaching history to children at a much earlier age, and our grasp of history and it's meanings has increased immensely, so I fail to see how your argument that we are forgetting the lessons of our past can be valid. Instead, I maintain that we are learning more than ever from our past. We are overcoming the bondage of dogmatic thinking which held our society back, something we learned to do by studying the past and learning what the consequences of such dogma are. They set up barriers to our learning process, telling us not to question authority, and creating an enforced societal ignorance. Your concern over our lack of respect is valid. We don't respect the vaunted wisdomof our past as much as we used to. This is because we have discovered that much of this age-old wisdom was not wise at all. It was simply the accepted mode of doing things. Everything changes. It is a universal law. You can't stop it. No one can. Get used ot it.
A brave thing for you to say. I notice that you're "accumulating bad karma" and I can only wonder whether BBC (Booby Club Clique) has anything to do with this.
Oh, yet another long-winded and overly-convoluted response. What makes you think that I actually care what you have to say? Especially since you seem to think that I'm someone other than who I am. What's the point of discussing anything with you if you can't even get it straight as to who I am. As for me being banned, well, I guess it's possible, if some nimrod who "fears" "freedom of expression" "whines and complains" to one of the "moderators". Honestly, aside from the fact that I'm opposed to your unbridalled need to view pictures of teeny breasts, I can't see any reason for me being banned. This is a place for "free speech," remember? Just a quick note about our society and history. No, sorry, I'm a history major, and I have long lamented the total ignorance that the majority of people have for history. Our society as a whole has never seemed to learn from history, and we continue to progress in the same old ignorant manner as we have for centuries. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being "modern". In so-called primitive socities, history was an integral aspect of culture, as these societies had oral histories that were routinely repeated as families gathered around the fire. But what do we have?--Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc.
paul is a dork!!. . are you a member of a moose lodge or maybe yous a police officer.... you sound like one of the "GOOD OLE BOYS"???
ha, for someone who doesn't care, you sure do make a big fuss over it. Poor paul, your mother must have abandoned you as a child.....or beat you with her breasts I don't think I've ever come across anyone as angry as you. You should find yourself a good shrink.
