I like how how Lenny Bruce viewed it, "fuck you" should be a friendly greeting like "have a nice day" and not as something mean you say to another person.

 

Heh I don't really follow politics.

 

I am interested in issues, but not politics. It's all just stick-slinging and partisan crap.

 

You should know enough about how politics works not to be fooled by politicians, but keep yourself clean of it if you can.

 

How so?

 

To learn what politicians are up to listen to what his opponent has to say about him and visa versa. If each man (or woman) says the other is a scoundrel....

believe them both!

 

We sure do have a lot of that going on. Makes me think the whole system is polluted. And if it is polluted it will affect us ordinary citizens in a real way eventually so we may not be able to "keep clean of it."

 

The government is run by the heads of the most wealthy corporations- for their benefit, not ours. The whole system is designed to screw us over. It's just like being serfs back in medieval Europe, just like it always has been throughout all of history. We get our 'Bread and Circus' to distract us from the fact that they are screwing us all over so hard, and sadly that's enough to make most people not care.
I have no interest in this ridiculous, corrupt political system. I just want to live my life out here in the woods, independent from it and all the bull that goes along with it.

 

How can you live independent of it when government confiscates your money and puts it into the pockets of multi-national corporations?

 

I don't follow politics. It's pure bullshit.

I don't know if any of you heard but this is recent news in England. There was a new tax put on pasties and baked goods from Greggs the Bakers and people went mad saying that the politicians are out of touch with the ordinary people who love to shovel pasties down their gobs.

The next day, the opposition party members were photographed at Greggs eating pasties.

I'm thinking "RUN THE GODDAMN COUNTRY YOU IDIOTS"

So, in short. No. I don't care. I care very much about how my country is run but I don't think it can be done until the entire electoral system is overhauled. It's happened many times before but not for a long time. The party system is outdated and unnecessary so I am not voting until it changes.

 

Our political system is so fucked, but I feel like I should keep an eye on what's going on and try to make sense of everything anyway.

 

A wise man once said: "A good politician is a dead politician"

 

As an activist, of course I am interested!

 

Politics is a lot like football. My yelling is futile unless the entire stadium is yelling loud enough disrupt the calling of plays.

This is true- anger misdirected by many who weren't truly educated, put much undo blame on the draftees returning home back in the day. So yeah ,Riff is correct in saying "if more get involved, things would change"- at least there would be a better chance that with pressure and involvement, the masses could influence the government to think before they act-

What politicians and the county needs to remember is there are consequences for their actions and agendas that go unseen by many - - so>> >>>>
Respect our soldiers. Do not send them to die in wars for corporations, banks and the military industrial complex. Leave them to do what they are constitutionally mandated to do. To defend us. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan...and perhaps Iran soon... All the same bunch of criminals sending our children to die....not for us...not for freedom. They die for some asshole behind a desk counting his gold for sure, but more die protecting each other, than for any political ideology-

No, western politics is just a muppet show for idiots.

Much more interesting is studying what Bankers do, money, monetary systems, the REAL reaseons for wars, revolutions, economic crashes, global strategies, secret services, military and the BIG criminal organizations.
Almost all western politicians are actors, straw men, completely uninteresting BLABBLA parrots.

 

I am persuaded by the reality of things to agree with that assessment. Yes, indeed!
