more reason to get to the actual root of the subject. we can't cure these people if we don't understand them and tie them to trees or what not. pedifiles have been around as long as mankind. we need a better solution.

As for the difference between people who find kids "attractive" and people who rape them...the difference is usually only time

Before you give me the "its a stereotype" stuff, just know i know A LOT about this area (unfortunately) through personal and impersonal experience in my life

Sure, there are some men who find, say, 15 year old girls attractive but wouldnt sleep with them, and theyre a lot different

But the others...and that means men who like younger girls, or boys...babies, toddlers, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 all the way up to that blurred barrier at about 15, 16...theyre all paedophiles too, and need to seek therapy

an interest can develop into looking at porn (which encourages child rape), which can lead to PAYING for porn and therefore paying others to rape children, or in the worst case abusing a child themselves

I havent read this whole thread but plan to.. just kinda browsed through it and saw a lot of the same thing.
I just felt like saying that what you think doesnt harm anyone and the only person that your thoughts could potentially harm are yourself. But what can cause more harm to repress your thoughts or to you know have them and let it go.. I think the people who try to repress these or any kind of thoughts that might be seen as "wrong" are the ones who usually take things into actions, because they dont have any kind of release.
Just an opinion is not like im a psychologist or anything but really if we are going to judge people by the thoughts they have, we would all have been in jail, killed, you choose the punishment. It's just that some brave few care to admit of the not nice thoughts they have, but be a little bit more openminded. Im not saying support the action but these kinds of thoughts are natural.

 

As a person that works with children, this thread scares me. I find it completely disgusting to think that anyone thinks pedophilia is OK...

People should make a difference between rapists and the sexual preference of people. I do not care what someones sexual preference is. For all I care they get turned on by one-eyed albino Pygmees with Down Syndrom. Just do not do anything against their will. But that goes for homosexuals and heterosexuals as well.

People are oh-so openminded, as long as nobody touches their holy values. Double standards and all that.

The victims of pedophilia often grow up to be very insecure and have practically no self confidence. From what i know, many attempt suicide and things like that because they cant live on with the memories.
Which is why i'd love to see all pedophiles lined up and shot.

I see that most of these ignorant minds still completely lack all capacity for critical thinking. It’s amazing to read what absurd rationalisations and excuses these sheep will come up with simply to preserve and justify their delusions and irrational hatred.

Someone said I could still cause harm to a child by thinking about her, that I wasn’t considering what it’s like to be “on the receiving end” -- what nonsense! You put far too much faith in my telepathic powers. I’m neither a psychic nor a fucking jedi! Unless that actually is what you believe (maybe I should have debunked another myth in my earlier post: “All/most pedophiles are telepaths!”). Even IF I were to stare at a child for a long time (which I don't), you couldn't look at me with a straight face and say that would bear any significance on her life in the long run (btw, I dislike people who stalk either adults or children). Again, spare your excuses and rationalisations. Wake up!

Another comment made by someone who seems to hold religious faith in the psychic powers bestowed onto all pedophiles. How cute -- or do you still cling to that trump-card fallacy that a pedophile is some kind of ticking time bomb, and that certain kinds of attractions give people less self control than others.

Many of these sheep like to parrot that little mantra of theirs that “[insert word] is just flat out plain wrong!” whenever they realize they’ve run out of logical arguments to support their spoon-fed convictions. How convenient for you to dismiss your beliefs from all forms of logical discourse. It gives you a snug, warm sense of security inside, doesn’t it?

So far, not ONE of you has managed to come up with a logical justification for your condemnation of a person’s feelings and thoughts. The only thing you have been able to resort to thus far is your blind faith in this particular attraction’s magical ability to rob one of his/her free will, saying “it’s only a matter of time before his 'urges' take over!” If that superstitious belief doesn't work, you stoop to the belief in jedi mind tricks.

“It’s just sick, plain and simple” or “It’s wrong, wrong, WRONG!” – a few centuries ago, you would have heard the same party line being recited to condemn masturbation, or blasphemy. If you had asked someone back then why it is sick or wrong he/she would have probably given the answer “Because it’s MASTURBATION/ BLASPHEMY!” After thinking about it for a while he would have given parrotted little excuses for his position (i.e. “God said so”).

I don’t like to be the bearer of bad news, but shouting a mantra over and over again doesn’t give it any more truth. Morality exists to serve the realm of action, that is if you want to keep morality within logic and reasoning (as opposed to blind fanaticism). As I said before, since I, and many others like me do nothing that is illegal (other than 'crimethink'), there is no logical justification for hating someone for his/her thoughts and emotions alone (something that person never chose to have and is none of your business anyway).​

Note that I said you have no logical justification. You do, however, have every right to your irrational hatred. I may not agree with your blind, self righteous bigotry, but I believe you have every right to have it and to express it -- and I will be there to call you out on your ignorance when you do. ​

The paedophilic type is self explaining. It's a child molester whose motives are attraction to the victim. Since the motives for most rapes (including child rapes) is power and not attraction, it is inaccurate to use this term to describe all child rapists.
The sadistic type is someone who recieves sexual pleasure from tormenting others. Like situational offenders, they choose children out of practicality. I think they're responsible for most abductions/murders.

 

No. I'm trying to prove that pedophilic attraction makes a person no more good OR evil than the rest of humanity. This is a truth anyone who bothers to apply their COMMON SENSE to the subject (rather than their blind convictions) should realize.

No intelligent person will take you seriously if you just cough up empty words like that.

If you can't back up such a meaningless statement with some kind of logical argument, it's safe to assume you're incapable of thinking logically.

Why a grown man would prefer sexually a preteen over a fully grown adult woman is beyond me.
