theres lots of work in asheville. Rent sucks because there are alot of people w/ money. And those "house flippers" make it rough to purchase. But lots of people live 1/2 hour away from asheville for cheap housing and work here. Thats my plan. Found an old farmhouse on 2 acres in the mountains. but i can still get to the city quick. I hope that helped ya

I relocated to downtown asheville over the newyear from my house on the mountain and I am paying 1/3 of 1200 rent right now to give you an idea of prices......

Jeph. By "lots of work in asheville" what do you mean? I've been in the restaraunt biz lately and its slowed to a dead halt...where should I be looking?

anyone catch the larry keel show on newyears?

well the construction in asheville is crazy. Masonry will keep you busy around here but being a server is hard this time of year. thats what my girl does. i guess coming from a town of 5,000 people to asheville I see things a little different.

Hi guys whats goin on. My names Arlo I'll be 24 on the 17th and for the past few years I have been traveling around the country trying to find a chill enough spot to set up shop for good. I have a laptop, a PS2 and a crazy amount of DVD-R backups from everything like complete Phish concerts to the latest movie releases. My life has revolved around Ganja and COmputing for as long as I can remember. Anyway my point is I'm looking for some cool people to live / share a communal apartment or house or volkswagon van with. I'm a drifter who's a bit more laid back then what most are use to.. ANyway if you gotta situation to propose let me know about it. You would be suprised what's negottiable. I ramble sorry I'm playin poker online on 2 different tables and smokin a bowl every few minutes. To reestablish. I like people who like to relax and i dont mind working but probably only at a cool place. I share everything i own with whoever asks. and i clean up after myself. If you know anybody looking to meet someone new and also get a good connect.. Then let me know about it..

    here's my myspace.

Yey Asheville. :) I've lived here 2 and a half years now.

I hear drum circles are going on again Friday evening in Pritchard Park downtown, and the Full Moon gatherings are groovy.

Hope to meet more of you Asheville heads.

    Peace and Love,
    Ryvr
