Very nice work. Keep up the good work. I do fiber arts but am at a dry patch - can't get inspired at all. Throw me some inspiration!
I'm not exactly sure what fiber art is. I imagine it is fibers that are used to convey light to the tips of the fibers. What about using fibers to outline a negative subject. It would be like painting in negative space, except you'll be using fiber light tips to establish your shape internal to the fibers. For example, if your shape is a circle, the light tips would form a circle, but it is the dark shape inside the light that you're trying to focus the viewer's eye. I don't know if that is clear. Let me know.
I really like the lighting in this one. Its very realistic and represents something very deeply warm and fuzzy for me. I really like this thread, too, because I can see you're improving over time.
Thanks, everyone. I had someone email me via my web site (see my profile) and offer to buy the original Highway painting. He offered me 20% less than my asking price, so I countered with 10% less than my asking price, and he declined.
I painted this about a month ago. It was on display until recently. I also modified the willow farm painting by changing the reflection in the pond.
i really love the first one dutchy.their all good but thats my favorite one.welldone! again.:2thumbsup:
I really love this. I really love the sky, the red sun and the monochromatic theme in the top. I wasn't expecting those colors at the bottom, but it was a nice surprise.
I recently completed several paintings. This one is "Bridge Day" at the New River Gorge bridge in rural West Virginia.
