Pat - the foreskin has membranes on the underside of it which are susceptable to the entry of HIV and STD viruses into them. Once intercourse is finished, the penis softens and the foreskin slides back over the glans. If the guy has had unprotected sex with someone with an STD or HIV, the moist environment underneath the foreskin and the membrane on its underside contribute to the entry of the virus into the body through the membrane. In a cut guy, the same problem exists if the guy has a cut or abrasion on his penis, but since there is no foreskin to go back over the glans, the viruses remain exposed to the air after intercourse, where they have a short life. This is why the recent 25 year New Zealand study, and the two recent African studies, have been proven to be so conclusive. In the African study, they took uncut men from various villages, and randomly circumcised half of them, after giving them all the same lessons about safe sex. Several years later they tested the men for HIV, and found a 50% greater incidence in the uncut guys as in the cut guys, The studies were done in three African countries and involved over 10,000 men. The U.S. National Institutes of Health and the UN suspended the studies because they felt the results were conclusive and because they were playing with the lives of the men.
Circumsized since 8 years old... It is cleaner and intercourse lasts longer. Disadvantage or advantage is that you need more stimulation to your penis and imagination…
Patmydog- There is a recent trend, especially in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, not to circumcise, and the percentage who are cut has decilned from more than 50% to about 10-20% in these three countries. In Africa, in some sub-Saharan countries, the HIV rate hovers near 30% of the population, so the solution to this problem is literally a life and death issue, with the extermination of the population in the next few decades a real possibility. Since condoms are not regularly used (but are being used more recently), especially in remote villages, some other solution is needed, and there are free circumcision clinics in South Africa, Kenya and other African countries being set up. There are also extensive statistics in many of the African countries showing conclusively that men in African Muslim countries or areas (Muslims are circumcised for religious reasons) have a far lower rate of HIV than uncut Africans. How all this relates to you in Australia is something for you to judge. What is the HIV and STD rate where you live? If it is a growing problem, circumcision (or only having protected sex) is the best answer, unless you have only one disease-free partner. Google the New Zealand study and make a judgment for yourself. I am not suggesting that you, as an uncut guy, should get circumcised, but only that you educate yourself as to the problem and its solutions.
Cutted is on a weird rampage about circumcising penises. Wtf? I'm happy to be uncut. Thanks mom and dad!
A "weird rampage", eh? Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but I thought I would educate this gentleman as to the real world. These recent authoritative studies, I predict, will cause the medical communities of the world to reassess their recent opinions and recommend routine neonatal circumcision, at least in countries where STDs and HIV are a problem.
yeah, i've often wondered what's up with that. seems kind of like he's obsessed. some kind of self-justification perhaps?
Not obsessed...I just have a strong belief that being circumcised is better looking, healthier, and the sex is better. True, I am circumcised, so there may be some self-justification, but I have a "loose cut", and can pull my remaining foreskin entirely over the head, so I know what it is like to be "UNCUT". And i feel that there is a lot of self-justification on the uncut side too. We all like to feel that what we have is the best. I guess the best judges are those females who have to receive our uncut or cut members inside themselves, and it appears that they are as divided in their opinions as we males are. So the debate will go on and on...
Lady of the freaks.... Do you have an uncirced dildo your in love with or somethin? We get it, Cutted is just trying to impart some knowledge to everyone. I am cut and I on the fence about what I would have done if it were my choice. I like to be all natural but on that same hand I don't like to bathe often. So obviously the jury is still out on this one folks.
