I'll answer for my boyfriend too. He's uncircumcised, and I actually prefer it way..which is good for me I suppose.
Marija - living where you do, you may never have seen a circumcised penis, but about 25% of the world's guys have had the skin covering the head of their penises cut off, for health, religious and/or societal reasons. Most Europeans, except Jews and Muslins, are not circumcised. Over 80% of American men are, me included, and most of us like it tht way.
I wouldn't trust the health institute on this issue, its an easy way for unscupulous monotheists to secretly push their personal beliefs, customs, and traditions onto unsuspecting innocents under the guise of medical standards. There is a simple answer to the problem of STD's... All people found to have an STD should be rounded up and put in concentration camps where they will be allowed to collect and trade STD's between each other. -MOR
Marija - circumcision has been done for thousands of years -the Egyptians did it centuries before Christ. The Jews and Muslims do it for religious reasons. In Africa, where HIV is a serious problem, studies have recently shown that cutting off the foreskin significantly lessens the chance of getting HIV after unprotected sex, and a New Zealand study found the same result regarding STDs. Apparently the underside of the foreskin is more susceptible to the entry of the HIV and STD viruses, and since the foreskin covers the head after intercourse when the uncut penis goes soft, the germs can be trapped there in a wet oxygenless environment, and enter the body. There also is a chemical, smegma, which is created on the penis just behind the glans, and if the uncut penis is not cleaned properly, it can smell. For circumcized penises, the smegma dries and falls off immediately. Also, about 15 % of uncut guys cannot retract their foreskins, and this can interfere with their sexual enjoyment, or can create infections under the foreskin - this is called phimosis. In the U.S, and other English-speaking countries like Canada, New Zealand and Australia to a lesser extent, the circumcised penis is the normal way it looks. Perhaps 80% of American guys were circumcised at birth. Our fathers were circumcised, as were our brothers, so it is natural that we want to look like them. There is a movement in the U.S., England and elsewhere not to circumcise, claiming it is painful and unnecessary, and some people reading this post will attack me as a circumcision zealot, but I am happy with my cut penis as it is, as is my girlfriend, and my late wife before her. I believe that sex is better for both men and women with a circumcised penis, as the coronal ridge at the back of the glans or head is exposed to stimulate the woman's vagina as well as his own penis. Near you, some Greeks circumcise, as well as all Turks, Moslem Serbs and Bosnians, and you say gypsies. Almost all South Koreans and Filipinos practice circumcision, and various Indian tribes in the Americas as well as many African tribes. So it is a worldwide practice, for different reasons. If you never have done it, have sex with a cut guy someday and let us know how it went.
Cutted thanks for all your effort to explain this to me my bf is uncircumsized, but if i EVER break up wit him ad sleep with cirumsized guy i'll let you know hugs
Sliced and diced here. I can't say which I'd prefer, as I didn't really get a chance to experience the other.
And then there are those of us who are "tweeners" - cut, but with much of our foreskin still attached, but just not hiding the goods.
I am uncircumsised. I'm aware in a lot of countries it's common tradition but in Ireland anyway it's only done in regards to religious preference. Personally, I can't imagine my knob without the bit on top. Obviously I can't tell the difference but my head is really sensitive so I'd be afraid if I had the skin cut I'd lose the sensitivity. I don't want that.
