Are we heading for Cosmic Consciousness?

Yes I remember seeing something about that on a BBC2 (?) documentary a year or so ago ... they replicated the experience of 'feeling a presence' or 'communing with god' through electro-magnetic stimulation of the brain. This might explain for example why people think they see ghosts repeatedly in certain places - because of the magnetic field or other factors in that location affecting our physiological experience. This leads me to think that god certainly exists in the sense that it is a very real experience - but that it's one which is created entirely within our minds.

Last November there was a massive burst of solar wind (ionised particles ejected from the sun) which impacts on the atmosphere and gets funnelled through the earth's magnetic field to the earth. I do remember feeling quite unusual for a day or two just around the period it was occurring (I didn't find out about the solar wind until afterwards). I felt connected and saw things more clearly than usual for a time. I even started spontaneously writing poetry for no reason. Admittedly most of it was about my pants...

Have you ever had the feelings described here?... How would you describe it?....and what do YOU think the purpose (if there is a prupose) of that feeling is?

I've never experienced it in the way described here, but understand it as a concept. If true it would explain a lot of the strange phenomena of the world that we live in.

i love those hyper-conscious ultra connected moments. they seem to happen more often in certain places. for me anyways. i think that some places on the planet are power points and that they resonate with a different frequency than other places. yesterday i took a day trip to one of my favorite planetary power points. it was a fantastic day, everything flowed flawlessly. even the radio seemed to be playing a perfectly choreographed soundtrack.
