IQ / SAT scores are powerfully predictive of economic success for a reason. They also correlate very, very strongly with rates of violence and dogma.

I was asking how we can be sure of what you were claiming. We can't be sure how IQ levels matter where it comes to west europeans banishing slavery 100+ years ago if there aren't any or enough measurements of IQ levels from people in those days, wouldn't you agree? So did you connect IQ levels of people in west european countries and indian and african countries (were there's still slavery) from this time to the people who were getting rid of slavery in those days? That's my question.

I would say there is still a lot of peace on earth. War in one or several places does not change that. If you mean world peace, that was not at hand at all. Even if there weren't any muslim terrorists But I guess this has not to do much with the original topic.

Big difference between slavery today and in past centuries. today the majority of slaves are used as domestic servants, for sexual purposes, and in less developed areas as plain labor.
In the past slavery comprised an industry and the majority of slave work forces were applied to plain hard labor to simply get shit done.

The things that dealt the death blow to slavery around the world were, the steam engine, electricity and the internal combustion engine. With those advancements slaves were no longer economically viable as a work force.
It costs more to keep a slave than it did a steam or gasoline powered engine.
