I've called it quits Shiv-all I get is a little box with httl/ in it-but no 'browse'.
I had several [very public] attempts

    3/4 of the i-world now knows I can't post pics-OH,the SHAME!!

Went round the course today with a bunch of other riders-[today is a rest day]-had a marvellous time. Took off twice again, same places, and made 9th fastest time.
Not bad for an old fart on a shaftie-my grin has 85 teeth, all at the front!
Spoke with Mike Dunlop-comes across as well stroppy on tv,but a really nice bloke irl.

Anyway,my deep apologies to everyone for that cock-up.
I simply can not get the hang of this pic posting caper.

    Stone the crows!
It was the 600cc bikes today-some of them achieved 170mph in places!
One lad died, race stopped and re-started. RIP mate-ride free.
We were sat outside the Raven pub, watching them flash past at mad mph, with the front going light as they cross the bumpy bit of road just here-bloody amazing.

Glad you like Kermit,Shiv-sorry about that last pic,it was SUPPOSED to be Kermit proving shafties can wheelie...but soddit, you got one of my office instead.
[dunno why the wheelie pic changed places with that one but I'm not trying again]

I wasn't keeping up with this thread... awesome sauce there PB ! TT races look like mass fun. Be safe !

Since you're posting pics... here's the only one I have of one of my bikes on here. Awhile back in the mountains of Baja.

Here's one from your part of the world PB. Supposedly Lawrence of Arabia died on this Brough Superior. It's at the science museum in London.

    Cheers!

    Hiya fellas-ces't moi.

    Oh,I am a happy Puggybear.

Decency dictates I don't relate the nocturnal activities of myself and the aforementioned lady.
I can however assure you that Pilates has kept her flexible.

Today, prior to the races starting we rode the short course [missed out the mountain section due to mist as it was still early].
What a blast to ride behind a buxom wench in tight leathers! Grrr!
I'm supposed to be watching the road and her line...I spent most of my time staring at her leather-clad bum!
No silly speeds today-we averaged 85.2mph on the trap, but I enjoyed myself hugely.

She's away now-off to rejoin her friends.....ah,parting is such sweet sorrow, etc.

    Hey,Voyage,hello mate!

    Yes,that's the Brough he crashed.
It still has the rifle-pouch where he kept his swagger-stick.
I've stood and stared at that several times, wondering what he was feeling as he did 100mph+ with just goggles and a peaked hat on backwards.
No leathers armoured gloves or boots in those days, mate.
But no speed cameras or traffic cops with a quota to fill,either..
The days of freedom, before beaurocracy and cctv made us all 'free'.

I just HAVE to ask-how are you getting proper pictures posted?

I was going to post some of the racers here flashing past-I've managed to take some really good ones where they're fully airborn coming out of Parliament Square-but I had several attempts to post pictures [as you may have noticed] and just succeeded in looking a complete prat!

    Right-I can smell bacon....anon,chaps.

Well those were in my gallery. But as Shiv said, you can add by clicking the paperclip at the top of the post window, and choose 'upload file from your computer'

Hit me up after you're back home, if I can help.

Nice to hear about your trip, truly epic if you ask me. TT races and riding the course AND a rendezous with a nice lady? Good times :sunny:

    Ahh,gennelmen,gennelmen.

I yam having a jolly good time,I must admit.
Watched some absolutely AMAZING time-trials today,'n' got meself just a teensy bit 'mellow'.

Had a message from 'the lady',saying she had a wonderful time 'n' how brilliant it was to meet me again. [It's been 13 years] so that was really sweet.
Hadda NEXLUNT dinner, and was asked if I'd like to gig with some local lads in the pub, playing for a large crowd of TT fans.
Natch,I haven't got any of my axes avec moi-so I'm playing an old Strat ,upside-down.

[It's akshly how I learned to play,so no biggy there]

    We're going really well,lads.
I've been boppin' along 'n' having a BRILL time.

    We've got 10 more mins,then we're gonna do a medley of 70s/80s rock.

    YAHOOOOO!

At the mo I'm smoking someone's pipe-dunno WHERE I got this from [??] but it's WELL nice.

    Take care chimps,
    anon.

    I'm Home!

Wow-what a BRILL night that last night was.
We played 70s/80s rock until my fingers were bleeding-I have a large blister on my forefinger that's really painful, but WHAT a night!
    There was a large crowd,all bikers,all stoned/pissed/both.
I was a bit hesitant at first, but all we got was cheers and whistles,so I thought "Fuck it,open up,Pug"-so I went into Voodoo Child [may I just add, that pipe was responsible-not me]
Stone the crows, the place went nuts-around 600 bikers playing air guitar and givin' it large.
I got a refill for the pipe [I STILL don't know where that came from] and layed some AC/DC 'n' Sabbath stuff down while smoking it!
    Bloody Marvelous.
We got done around 04.30,purely because I got a huge blister on my finger and couldn't hold the chords down anymore. [what a wimp,eh?]
    So-cooked brekky,several mugs of tea,
Then,we all sat around on grassy banks and watched magnificent riders show extraordinary skills and courage for the final race.
Gaz Johnson/McGuinness/Martin on the podium-and they deserve the accolades,it was fantastic.
    I'm home now-and what a ride.
Around 50/60 of us,all just cruising down the M6/M1-even got smiles and waves off the police. Well, they know we're TT-ers,not loonytune speedfreak nutters.
We stopped at some services for fuel, munchies, and a smoke, then went our separate ways and I rode the last 120 miles in the company of a most buxom wench named Phoenix who it turns out lives a 30 min ride from me.
We're meeting next Sunday for brekky at a biker cafe.
I was ahead of the rain all the way-all 250 miles was in the dry.
Waved goodbye to Phoenix at Colchester-then opened Kermit up a tad to 'clear his throat',as it were.
LOVED laying him into my local twisties;I was grinning like a Japanese toothpaste advert.
Got home, put Kermit in his lair, and as I was crossing the garden-it fuckin' FELL outa the sky.
Hehehehe...don'tcha love it when a plan comes together?

    So-how're you chaps?

Oh,btw-I've still got the pipe. Applewood, smokes really sweetly

[but I honestly have NO IDEA where it came from]

    Ah,thanks Voyage.
It was brilliant, mate. But all things have to be paid for-so now I need to change oil and filters. Did some high speeds on the island, and maybe just a TAD ott on the run home,so-better safe than sorry,eh.

Had a thought when I read Calibound's post...y'know,in in 45 years of being a biker,I have never even SAT on a Harley-let alone ridden one.

Do I go into the biker Hall of Shame?

k so I'm not disrespecting harley or whatever, but myself, I've ridden one of my friends' sportsters, and for the price he paid, compared to the price I paid for my V-star and everything I have extra on it, I really feel like I made the right choice...

I get that harleys are cool, and maybe there's something I'm missing here, but apart from it ''being a harley'', I dont get it...

I'm open to being schooled though!
