    I must say that

Fear and Loathing might be great but the dark parts might be too unsettlling. i loved the films close depiction of tripping.

Pulp Fiction a great film that would be simply too violent and negative.

2001: A Space Odyssey - I experienced this on Microdot when it was released
    Absolutely mind blowing

Clockwork Orange - Again experienced this frist time tripping on WindowPain in the 70's. Yet it's something I'd never consider doing twice. But quite an experience

Alice's Restuarant with Arlo Guthrie was absolutely an incredible hippie trippy experience

FANTASIA - MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!! The music, the colors, the animation, the subject matter - filled me with all the elements I needed for a great psychedelic experience other than NATURE itself.

ALICE IN FUKING WONDERLAND but it has to be the live version, the cartoon is gay, in the live one when she goes to major caterpillar he's smokin a big ass hookah and starts trippin out while she's talkin to him, and then he tells her to eat shrooms, i watched it one time after smokin three huge bowls, it was great

I saw Napoleon Dynamite after I ate 31 benedryls(775mg Diphenhydramine HCL) and I laughed my ass off. Not really "psychedelic" but tripped the fuck out, none the less. I was seeing faces the whole time and at one point during the movie I looked toward the kitchen in the house we were at and a tree started to grow down out of the ceiling and the roots spread over the entire room. It was fucked up. The movie basically just added to the experience.

Personally i wouldn't watcha movie during the peak of my trip. Fast paced media spreads your attention so far... unless it was like a recorded concert seen on a big screen or IMAX (if anyone knows what that is). but when i come down i sometimes like to watch a good movie to let my brain wrap around something as it comes back into logical thinking-mode, helps me comedown. So, for the end of the trip i would recomend the movie the Waking Life.

You might have to pause after each scene to think about it. either way, i rarely watch t.v. and i absolutely loved this film... can't describe it but i recomend it for psychedelic minded people, trippin or not.

"Wonderwall", which I mention in the thread I started recently, would be well worth a hippy-trippy go.
"Yellow Submarine" I would def agree is a great bet.
For pure fun, the surrealism of Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" should hit the spot, though Monty Python stuff generally does a good job

    Pink Floyd in Pompei

you don't have to pay attention to it. and its kinda random, with great clips of them while they were really young playing all their pre-darkside stuff in the collesium in the ruins of pompei. very nice, with intense parts.

Any kind of concert rocks, but movies in general are too hard to focus on. These kids I know saw the Amntyville Horror on mushrooms(because they're incredibly retarded) but they said they couldn't focus on the scary parts because before you could comprehend what had happened something else was happening.

No way...if your tripping most anything you gotta be outta the city and in nature...be one with the earth and the earth will be one with you...that expireence cant come with windows media player...the best movie youll see is the natural sawy of trees and the swift of the clouds.

Big Fish. Now I know this isnt the most popular of choices but my friends and I watched this after taking an eigth of shrooms and it was amazing. Theres lots of fantasy and just fucked up shit in that movie(the good kind of fucked up shit :p) My trip coincided with that movie perfectly. I started the come up right when it started and my trip stopped just as it ended. My best trip ezperience no doubt.

actually man, the guy that wrote it Lewis Carroll was an avid pot smoker and also used psychedelic substances.

popular misconception though, is that he was on LSD which is untrue because LSD wasn't discovered until about 40 years after he passed away

trip or get stoned to: SONICVISION

I felt that I needed to make it known that Sonic Vision is the sickest thing ever, this IS the shit!!! It's playing at the Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute in Philly (and other various places nationwide). I went there with some friends last night, it was basically empty except for us. We layed on our backs on the ground with a blanket instead of tin the seats. Its so intense, i'm not even gonna try to explain it, and such good music. I'm going again tonight, maybe twice, and every weekend until it stops showing. Why are there not tons of you headdie kids in there on a friday and saturday night?! I need to tell everyone about this, not only because it was the best $8 i've ever spent on something, but because its great to support the Franklin Institute. It won't sell out, just show up tonight at 9, 10, 11, or 12 PM. Hang out with some buddies before hand, come with your 8 bucks and lay on the ground, and have the most intense non sexual orgasm ever. trust me on this
