Garden tilled up nice. Got lots of rain and snow flurries last couple of days. So will wait for it to dry out, and warm up, before any more planting.
I keep seeing videos pop up saying in the title that home gardening is being banned. Doesn't make sense. I planted asparagus already. Swiss Chard is next on the list.
Let's hope not! Our daughter is a South Carolina Certified organic gardening supplier specializing in seed and giving classes!
All I decided to grow from seed is chamomile, sometimes it turns a little yellow like it's trying to die on me.. it was one of those grow kits I decided to buy oh a whim. I also have hyacinth (which can reproduce from seed or bulb) that comes up every year, well one of them decided to grow seed pods, which I'm told is a long process to grow from a seed into a bulb and flowering. But I figure I'll keep some seeds and see how it goes, since the universe thought I should have them or w.e.
Peas, onions, radishes, potatoes, growing great. Plant sweet corn, and bush beans today. I checked into grow bags for potatoes, and was not cost effective. So I use large plastic bags lined with cardboard, which works fine.
Now that is an interesting choice! I do like tea made from Chamomile. They call in Manzanilla down in Mexico and it is more popular there than black tea.
I'm actually not much of a tea drinker but I will try the Chamomile tea, maybe I'll get hooked who knows lol
Chamomile has many health benefits... "Chamomile contains the antioxidant apigenin. In test-tube studies, apigenin has been shown to fight cancer cells, especially those of the breast, digestive tract, skin, prostate and uterus. Additionally, one study of 537 people observed that those who drank chamomile tea 2–6 times per week were significantly less likely to develop thyroid cancer than those who did not drink chamomile tea." Healthline.com It is also good for the digestion and aids in sleep they say. I like it as it is mild, and caffeine free! It is also a good source of antioxidants, I hear that is a good thing also.
