So, this is my first post. Howdy! I just moved down here to Homestead (actually Redland area) from North Carolina (Massachusetts before that). It's very different. I like it. I love it! No more freakin snow! Yay! Anyway, I live with my 15 month old baby girl and my boyfriend. We're going to check out the lauderdale boat show tomorrow, mabey them octoberfest. Sunday we're heading out of Biscayne (sp?)bay to catch (hopefully) some fish! Happy Halloween, and what not.
Hey y'all I used to live in Miami, little island called Key Biscayne actually. But I managed to escape!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! I got away from the corruption, the overpopulation, the expense and the rest of it. Currently live in East Tennessee, and much better for it. No beaches, but here we have MOUNTAINS!! cool
Im in Miami Beach, on one of the many islands....I love it there, i feel like on vacation everyday since i can walk to the beach...sorry to say but living by the beach is better than living by the mountains in my opinion.....and Miami is the place to party!!!!! yay!!!! for people that are young and young at heart!
I lived in Tarpon Springs for a year, then moved to Jupiter out on Indian town road near Burt Reynolds place.Key West was my favorite tho.Being from California,it was weird driving by the ocean. It always felt like I was going North instead of South and vicy versy.Damndest mix of people there I ever saw.
Unfortunately I am back in this shithole, visiting. There are three things where Miami is better than Johnson City, TN. I can't wait to get out and go back. 1) The Ocean. This is a big one, because swimming in a lake is not as cool as the ocean. Ocean fish taste better, as well. 2) The food in restaurants. Johnson City has no diversity, but Miami doesn't have a lot. I was in New York and Boston last month, both cities that have good interesting little China Towns, but I was so busy I didn't get a chance to explore either one. I wanted so bad to go into one of the 100 asian restaurants and get something tasty. 3) The fact that you can find any address in Miami-Dade county without a map, so long as it's on a numbered street. For instance, in Miami Lakes, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, Miami Springs, etc. just make no sense, unless I can stay on a main road like Bird, Red, Flagler, Ludlum or LeJeune. But Try that in Key Biscayne. Anyways, point is the street design in my town in TN looks like someone threw cooked spaghetti on the floor and then designed the map based on what he saw. It sucks, it makes no sense. You can't find an address unless you looking it up on the internet first. Anyways, I can't wait to get out of Miami. Those are the only three things where Miami beats Johnson City. Some people would mention the nightclubs, but I've got no use for that shit anymore.
