i'm thinking of moving to nova scotia in a few years after i graduate. it's cheaper there. i'm thinking the annapolis valley. although i'm not sure i could handle the winters (I'm allergic to cold) .. but I think with that low of a cost of living i could afford to go somewhere else in the winter. my boyfriend is also in the army so if he goes reg then it'll be edmonton or gagetown, nb for him. i'd rather live in ns though.

    ns is that shit.
this winter wasn't tooo bad. it didn't get real cold till around february, then it started warming up again around the end of march.
then it decided to blizzard last weekend.
    but that shits gone now.
cost of living isn't to shabby.
minimum wage is 7.15$ right now i think, but its going up again :) thats good for people with no talents like myself

dude on the NB/NS border here we've got lots of snow over the past few days. it was all sunny and turning into spring a couple times there, and we got a pretty solid two-foot blizzard the other day. then yesterday it snowed more, looks like its going to again...

its sweet! more time for snowball fights!!

min wage in bc is 8.00 per hour ... 7.15 sounds like crap. hahahaha. that's okay though because by the time i move to NS i'll have a degree. my friend and i have a plan now. she is going to be a truck driver and make a shitload of money and i'm going to go with her and sleep in that little bed thing. basically i'll mooch off her. then i'll be the truck driver for a while. then we'll both have so much money we'll buy 10 houses in NS. lol!

Well, with the lower cost of living, $7.15 isn't so bad.

I make $10.50/hr in Truro, it seems to be about the average wage at our auto salvage.

Living in rural hants county, and having lived in nearly a dozen different areas around nova scotia, including Dartmouth and Truro, I do prefer the privacy of this area. Excellent air quality, peaceful, and no worries of noise complaints when jamming or random police encounters when, uh, indulging in herbal remedies.

Plus, I live across the road from a beach that is practically private... great in the summer to chill down by the tide, and do a bit of bass fishing.
