Jesus! Why did Terry bring Schilling in to pitch a tied game? That was a bad call. He should've left Embree or Timlin to finish the job. If you are going to bring a guy to pitch after coming off the DL, at least bring him in with a two run advantage and not a tied game! We had that game too... I can't stand A-Fraud, he's such a pussy. Tek needs to kick his ass again! Sorry guys, I just had to blow-off some steam.
yea, i think that was a bad move too. i mean, he didn't even have his fastball and his splitter wasn't even dropping. i just think it was bad to bring him in with a tie against the yanks when he hasn't faced major leaguers for a long time. now tonight, if we have a lead, i wouldn't mind seeing him pitch, but its too early - i think - for him to pitch a tie game with the yanks. and if tek beats a-frauds ass again, that will be glorious. --- yea, i'm burnt again. it fucking hurts. my forearms are red like a lobster. but its the end of the 1st week of camp. it was fucking long. thank god i'm getting thrashed this weekend.
so, i went to the Sox game tonight. beat Tampa...and schilling came in the game during the 9th. he was pretty dominant. got his fastball up to 94. it was a great game. i was on the right field line, pretty much dead between 1st base and Pesky pole, about 20 rows up. great seats.
i dunno...its possible...but the division is real tough this year cuz we are including baltimore now - thats if they keep this pace. but its possible if Curt comes back and does well and Foulke comes back and gets back on track as a closer or we pick up a REAL closer, someone who can come in and just shut down the other team. cuz we got the run support going on...
Last night's game against the White Sox was wierd. There were a lot of base running errors (with the exception of JD) and Curt blew the save, luckily Manny saved the day with that solo blast. Although we do have to be thankful for that dropped foul ball! Never do that against the best hitting team in baseball!
On a different note, it sucks that Bruschi is not going to play for the whole season. I still believe that Bill will make the adequate adjustments and I still believe we can win the AFC East, but as far as a Superbowl, well, without Bruschi it will be tough.
i agree its going to be hard without bruschi but i think hes making the right decision by sitting the season out and focusing on his health/family
i really like bruschi. he's a great player but a better person. i'm glad he's taking the year off to heal up and spend time with his family. it is gonna be tough without him though. but the pats can find a way to win, they always do.
i can't believe he stayed conscious after that hit...thats fucking nuts. and trot is on the DL too. this is a crazy season....kinda like the Pats with all the injuries, maybe the Sox will man-up now and keep in contention.
I'm from Cape Cod. I see we have a bunch of red sox/ patriots fans on here. My boys right there! Sweet deal. Peace
