it was hot out today... fuck!!!! had to be outside in the sun all day. now i'm like 3 shades darker. we had the Mayor's Cup for Track and Field at my work. a shit load of kids. it was sooo hot sitting outside all day. i hope its not too hot this weekend, i need to get back into shape...
well its 90 degrees here and thats just too hot for me im staying indoors for as long as possible. sports are starting up soon again so ill have to be outside for a while..oh well. how old are the kids participating in the Mayor's Cup? i love track/field...mostly field because i hate running
6-14...its the same age as my camp...but today we had a bunch of other camps come and some parents brought there own kids...just a chaotic day. thing is, it wasnt' really a real track and field meet. they had a 50 yd, 100yd, a 200 yd (the 200 yd was for the older kids, like 12 and up) and a 4 x 1 relay...and the broad jump and turbo javelin for the field events. and since the Mayors Cup is on our campsite, our councilors worked the events and stuff. what sport(s) do you play?
for school team sports its cheerleading which really isnt a sport unless its during competition season (winter) and track/field. summer and early fall practices are brutal because coaches insist on being outside in the heat instead of in the gym. on track/field i run the 2nd leg in the 4x1 relays and throw shotput and discus
in highschool i played soccer for 4 years. i was captain for 3 years and i recieved 2 All-League All Star awards. i also did track/field were i threw the javelin freshman year. i almost made State Finals when i was a freshman. that was the only year i threw javelin. i also ran sometimes, but wasn't really good...i only did track/field freshman year. then i played baseball my senior year. a lot of the sports i played were out of school. but yea, end of august/early fall practices can be brutal. i was just reading an article about the new ways of keeping cool and lowering body temperature. theres a 1-pound shirt that will circulate water through it around your chest and back. it was a really cool article.
k, so i'm going back to school in vermont on the 28th...am i still gonna be able to post here? i don't want to feel outcasted...
Of course, Fitz! As long as you are a Baystater you will always be able to post here! The Pats feel against the Saints... fuck it, it's only pre-season anyway.
yea, i could have went to the game, but didn't want to deal with the traffic on the way home cuz i had work in the morning...
yea, he had a rough outing last night. though, i think it was necessary to get him into the starting position again. starting a game and closing the game are very different. so if he feels ready to start, then the sooner the better, so for playoff time, he'll be a dominant pitcher again.
I never understood why Vermont was included in the New England cluster. In fact, the state should be called Verwhat!
haha, Verwhat...lol...we do have Burlington and Champlain valley which are pretty cool. but yea, there is a lot of nothingness up here.
Fuck it though, it's still part of New England and Vermont does have its natural beauty. Not every state can be in the ranks of Mass!
