I live bout 45 min south of Lexington, in Washington County. An hour or so south of Louisville from Bardstown Rd. Boring ass little town called Springfield. Someone should have a little get together cookout thing and we could all meet up. I haven't found any gatherings or anything cool around, so that would be nice. PEACE
Maybe we should organize a rainbow gathering here in KY. They have them just about everywhere else, so why not here?
I found out there is a regional somewhere around Lake Cumberland in the spring. But hell lets make another one...why not? Or some potlucks or something, I'd like to meet some of you good people
I am so suprize there arn't any! I have searched hi and low We would deffantly gather here in Ky, beats trying to afford the trip to Ar. every month. We need to form a Ky rainbow group! I know there are lots of us out here.
Are there any web sites with details about this Cumberland gathering? I would like to go to that. And I'm all for organizing another gathering here in the commonwealth. Were do we begin? I'm ready to start. Right on.
"Are there any web sites with details about this Cumberland gathering? I would like to go to that." Dude! I got dis lol I can't belive I know something YEAH! http://groups.msn.com/LostFoundRainbowFam according to my email sister this is the only place you'll find emails about the Cumberland folks. They are going to have a gathering the last weekend of April.
Yea diddo.......I've been searching online forever and came up short. Someone on here mentioned the cumberland gathering but didn't know the details...... And I would be more than happy to help organize another gathering, potluck or whatever. But I really have no idea where to begin seeing that I've never even been to a gathering in the first place (anxiously awaiting). My guess would be to just start getting together once in a while, bringing a few more people each time. It could start out as a little get together and turn into a gathering...who knows? Everybody you bring can spread the word and more and more people would want to come. Even if it didn't turn into a full pledge gathering it would be cool to soak up some good vibes monthly, bimonthly or whatver. What do you guys think?
They used to have a Rainbow gathering near Cumberland Falls when I was in college about 10 years ago. We used to pick them up on the highway and feed them in the cafeteria. By the way, I was born, raised, and will be buried here in Ky.
I'm from south eastern KY. Right on the TN border, near cumberland falls. I've been to regionals in the past but they are hard to find. I would love to talk and meet with my KY sisters and brothers. If we could all meet somewhere or start a drum circle I'd help. There are about 7 or 8 of us from down here that would come
It seems like everyones willing to meet up, but no ones going through with it. Lemme know of a time and place and I'll try to go.......
So lets all meet maybe mid-state somewhere maybe in march when it gets warm. Any suggestions of where??? i know a few cool places but there kind of far south for the rest of you all, I'm willing to travel to meet some of my KY family
I live pretty close to the geographical center of Ky. My school's clocktower was moved from the exact center to our campus. Though I am an hour from Louisville or Lex, and two from Cumberland. Depending on how many people would come my family has land they might let me use. That is if I'm in the right spot.....Springfield, Washington County if anyone wants to look it up.
Has anyone heard of the Terrapin Hill farm? They have a couple festivals there each year, and it's just about 30 min away from me. The Harvest festival brings in around 2-3,000 people each year.
Although I was born in Virginia both of my parents were born and raised in Cantuckee, Scottsville and Maysville. Spent a great deal of time there when I was younger, remember going to Mammoth cave and fishing in the Ohio River.
I have heard of terrapin festival. I think that they have one in September. I haven't ever been though, but I met some kids travelin through and they stopped at my house.
Yea the harvest festival is in late September. They also have a festival in the begining of July, but it's not quite as big as the Harvest festival.
