I stopped watching TV and most news years ago. When I hear people talk about the news, I kind of black out.

I do watch shows, though. Like The Walking Dead, Dexter, Luther, and other good shows

Quit watching TV over 10 years ago, thou sometimes I'll dig out an old VHS tape of "it's A Wonderful Life," or something Starring James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart or Errol Flynn & watch that!!!

Theres so few shows on TV that i actually watch that i could probably claim to not watch TV.My entertainment for the last few years are more on the computer than the tv,
Basically i watch a half hour of local news and then watch a half hour of Coronation Street and thats about it.

I don't watch tv either, if I want to watch a movie or a show really badly ill rent it or something. Since I don't watch tv though I don't watch many shows of course, but it's ok because I spend my time on literature and music instead *shrugs*

I see people watch a lot of tv and it changes you, I see people try to be more like everything they see on tv

I don't usually watch TV because it's boring and offensive and addicting

but I could say the same about the internet and look where I'm at right now

Was raised by in a household that worships talk radio and books. We just listen to talk radio in my family and have no TV.

When you quit TV you find you have so much time for so many better pursuits and uses of time.

Television is overated nowadays seeing as you can find anything on the internet anyway. When television first came out it gave you the news and a few moral tv shows. Now we are surrounded by mindless dribble meant to shutdown our minds so we cannot think for ourselves anymore. Its meant to sway the masses into accepting things as correct and changing our perceptions of right and wrong. Its meant to keep us slow and in need of assistance from those who are smarter and more manipulative than us. So we fall into the spiders web willingly. I still watch a few older shows and movies myself, but i spend much more time trying to be an independant spirit with beliefs i know and feel for myself instead of fed misconceptions by liars.

I dont watch it, i used to be really addicted to it, but i lost the habit of doing it, it started to get boring, repetitive and i felt i wasn't getting anything good from it other than a pain in the back for being longer periods of time watching it appart from the fricking long commercials that tv shows at least in my country.

Now i'm on internet instead of tv, there is anything here, tv series, cartoons, if you want to learn something, if you want to play, its a more rewarding and entertained place.

Don't know why, but I've been drawn back to the old television shows. Other than those, I don't watch much. Maybe after you watch so much, all of it becomes garbage because you've seen everything imaginable.

Local stores are advertising televisions for $500.
If I had $500, I sure wouldn't spend it on a television set.
    What a waste of money!
    Spend that $500 on:
    A hobby
A class at a local college
Help out the neighborhood community garden.
Spend summer weekends at the nudist camp up in the foothills!

I'm sure in the future laws will be passed making it mandatory for people to own a television. All the people who I have known who watched television thier entire lifes are not as intellegent as those i've known who didn't.
