Cool...do you have a way of protecting yourself from others that are projecting their thoughts??

 

There are several ways. Most common is the use of a psychic barrier specificly built for the purpose. Though it's been theorised that psychic barriers can hinder the spirit, for it's a form of denial. Another is to quiet the mind(like hotwater does through creative visualization), this is difficult for most people for we are used to letting our mind roam on auto-pilot... those are the ways I know, at least.

What you and others are experiencing is a form of remote viewing, which is a form of astral projection.
I usually only get this when my spirit is being called upon by someone in great distress.(like the young woman in Iraq cowering under a car with bombs exploding all around her during G.W.'s initial bombing campaign.) Though there are time when someone I'm close with/to is missing me and I'll end up there with them for that moment, I'll see who they are with, where they are and what they are doing.

May I suggest letting it pass through you? That's what I generaly try to do. Though if it's an actual psychic attack; I'll either sever the energy tendrils eminating from the attacker, 'feed' off their free energy, transform the energy into a different vibration and send it back to them, or run them through a maze of complex energy or thought patterns. I'm sure there's other tactics...

Yes, this happens to me occasionally. I wouldn't say frequently. Generally when I'm meditating or in some other altered state of consciousness. Although most of the time when this happens I actually *am* some person having the conversation/experience, with *their* emotions, etc., as a heavy overlay over my observer (e.g. "real") consciousness. The first few times it occurred I was disturbed and asked a friend I trusted about it. Since he is a Nath his frame of reference was it was a siddhi.

I would say that perhaps you are accessing what I like to call the holographic nature of reality. If reality is holographic in nature it should be that you hold in yourself a limited perspective of the Whole (although much more unlimited that ordinary conscious states). That is, it is entirely possible that these people and scenes actually did/do/will exist. Then, what you are doing is accessing this knowledge and experience that you already possess in some fashion even though they are not 'yours” per se.

It is likely that the Higher Self/Angelic beings/etc. that people discuss are simply able to hold this incredible information in context and make sense of it in that broader context. I don't know how one can make sense of this information except synchronistically. These images and experiences connect to some energy nexus that you are also connected to – currently, in your personal life.

Therefore you should be aware of and note things in your life that seem to resonate with these other experiences. However, it also appears that if you are hyper-vigilant in this regard your current ego tends to erase the very traces you're looking to observe.

Please note that my explanation is just a model. Like all models, it abstracts from the Real to create a coherent picture. It creates a framework that should have explanatory and predictive capabilities yet is in itself incomplete since a complete model is the thing itself and beyond any description in Logos. As such, the model is also wrong. I try to remember that the map is not the territory, so don't eat the menu...

moonchilde...your explanation makes sense. I can't reason it out, but I can "feel" it if you know what I mean. I "see" these people so clearly. A lot of them seem to be in some distress. ... I finally saw this post - I had missed it before.

Yes Eskimo, it's true. I saw through my wife's eyes once, before we were married. We were talking long-distance by phone, before I had ever met her in person (we met on the Internet). Suddenly I was seeing through her eyes, and I interrupted her to ask, "Are you pacing?" She said, "Yeah..." I asked, "And do you have the phone on your left ear, and are you gesturing with your right hand?" "Yeah!" she said, "How did you know?"

That was an amazing experience, but Eskimo: There are people I know who are looking through my eyes all the time, 24/7, because they have demonstrated it to me. And there are more with this ability than you might think. I don't know how you get a gift like that, but I'm thinking I'm on the spiritual path to eventually get there - kicking and screaming along the spiritual path, that is.

 

I agree, not very rare at all. There are whole sects dedicated to practicing and perfecting their skills. Even accounts of governments using it...

 

Well that could be, but you don't need to seek out a sect or look for classified documents. It's people you pass by on the sidewalk, people at the next table in a restaurant, people in your church - no matter what your faith - and people in the cubicle next to you at work, maybe...etc.
