Me too, to an extent. I'm saddened by the fact that, in general, non-Americans view us as a bunch of backwards, ignorant, ethnocentric idiots.

And I'm even more saddened by the fact that half of Americans prove that stereotype to be true.

A guy rigged my dragging exaust pipe of my car for free and I got my wife to the airport just in time....wouldn't take any money said "happy 4th of July" so thats my fourth, a little reassuring kindness from a stranger.

I tried that already, but the pipe broke right under the engine and about 4 feet were dragging on the highway heading toward Washington traffic...rigged it with 3 hangers.

Hey, I ended up driving about 8 hours on it through the mountains so I was happy.
