hmm,so lets say between captain morgans private stock and sailor jerry spiced rum.what would be the better rum if i wanted something that tasted good both mixed and straight,ive had parrot bay before but never really had captain morgan.sailor jerry seemed to be better then captain morgan though from what ive looked at
Captain Morgan's spiced is good or mixed with coke or ginger ale. It's also good to shoot straight. I don't even chase it most of the time.
I always prefer rum to other alcoholic drinks, with cola and slice of lime. Favourite brand is Bacardi and I can say not so cheap, unfortunately.
I drink RUM. My Brands are Bacardi, Old Monk., Captain Morgan, a spiced rum with a molasses base and is marketed in India by Diageo. It is known the world over for its unique flavour.
Get yourself a bottle of El Dorado 12 year old. It's a Demerara rum from Guyana. A great rum for sipping, but don't waste it in mixed drinks - Cruzan from St. Croix is a good mixing rum.

I like a nice amber tum, not a fan of dark rums. I do like spiced rum and Caribbean rums and I will pay for a rum that I can drink over ice I have a decent bottle of Burgal that this thread has inspired me to go grab a nice big glass.
I started drinking Captain Morgan and Orange Juice... it sounded odd to me at first... but gave it a shot n fell in love with it... picked it up from one of my favorite customers when i was bartending
