I'm planning on going to that autumn confest, as the summer one can get very hot indeed and besides I have too many things on when the summer confest is up and running.

You have a point; it does get very, very hot (45.6 degrees last January) and many things do clash with the fest; it's all about advance planning. Easter Confest has fewer people, cooler weather, shorter daylight and sometimes bad weather, such as that which ripped a few villages and cooking areas apart last Easter.

Those of us heading into NSW for the summer Confest are going well prepared for the heat. I have a huge MONT Batwing 5 tarp that comfortably accommodates 5-6 people sitting, more standing, with a height of 2.7m. All of us have suffered terribly with lack of shade at past festivals. This would be the ideal place for "closet nudists" to come out in the company of others. That's how I started so many years ago. In fact, in my "undercover" space, nudity is encouraged.

Yeah. I'm a bit of a closet nudist. By that I mean: I want to be a nudist. But I'm the only one of my hippie friends and I'm not brave enough to visit a nudist community on my own.

A funny thing happened to me not long ago, I was home alone and was about to make pancakes in the nude, I saw the door open so I raced to get dressed but got caught with my underwear on. I was asked, "are you hot?". I said nothing. I should've stayed naked to surprise the person.

NatureDudeb, I would be extremely surprised if somebody considered it offensive or "naked" to see you in just your knickers. That is not nude and is not a reason to race to get dressed: you are dressed, just ... briefly... People must realise that nudity is normal, it is not an alien concept or a deranged state of mind. And one should never hide a body worth looking at, and look around you — there are millions and millions. While I'm working around the studio and if there are people coming and going I'm in budgie smugglers, and everybody knows that — as much a part of my identity and persona as being seen with a camera. All closet nudists, this is your call: come out, come out, wherever you are! :sunny:

You've given me motivation to confront one person with my interest in nudism, I'll act normal only I'll be naked and say "It's no big deal". This person is more open-minded than most so that helps. Not sure how he'll react though.

Not a closet nudist, but I used to dance nude around my apartment while listening to awesome music while drunk.

I've come out of my closet with one open-minded person and the person said "Are you becoming a nudist?" I just said "yes". The strangeness of the experience gave me erections and leakage and and urge to masturbate. It wasn't like this for me at nudist beaches and nudist gathering. The person isn't a nudist so I may take a while to get over the strangeness but sleeping nude was similar but I'm used to that but nevertheless feels so good :)
