Why are they still trashing Portland for?

The rest of the country already forgot about it

What a lazy name for a city. "There's port..."
    "Land it then"

Places named by Lazy captains built on trade and equality and later a haven for free thought.. not free of oppression enough.

That is honestly the most I've thought about Portland.

You present quite a mixed bag, most which has no direct bearing on "terrorists".
This incident, while tragic, does not involve what's usually regarded as "terrorism". A woman and her husband got into an argument with a group of people over BLM. She said "All lives matter'. Somebody got pissed off and shot her. Tragic, yes, but no indication BLM members were even involved. Terrorism is the calculated use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. No indication that was involved.

This involved a random killing in which an 8 year old was the victim--in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a victim of criminal behavior, but not terrorism. And no indication BLM was involved

Here we may be getting to terrorism. But was the suspect a BLM member? He was angry about police killings of black men. He was aware of BLM.

David Dorn was murdered by rioters while defending a friend's business.

So now its Antifa. Trump has declared Antifa a terrorist oranization, but there is no evidence that the organization has carried out a politically motivated attack resulting in death.
President Trump Has Reenergized Portland’s Protests

I see accusations that "a mob" and demonstrations were responsible for setting the office on fire, but nothing specific about affiliations. Nor does this mob action rise to the level that is usually considered terrorism.

You can deny reality all you want. But in the end you cannot deny the consequences of denying reality.

Murder is not a requirement for being a terrorist.

    This seems to be true.

But don't confuse the opportunity/possibility of misnaming these groups with reality. It seems a little to me like they don't really fit in the shoebox you're trying to put them into.

There is no evidence that Antifa is trying to use violence to create a general climate of fear in a population--the essence of terrorism--as opposed to protesting in the aftermath of George Floyd's death. Antifa is itself a loose collection of sub-groups. Some of the groups active in Portland identify as Antifa, but there are others, as well, including mothers in helmets. Antifa is a convenient catchall label for your right wing sources to whip up sentiment against the protests. "Terrorism" might better describe the actions by Trump and his secret police in rekindling violence in the name of law and order.

If Antifa didn't exist, Six, Trump, and the Identiatrian right would have to invent it. When the group tried to meet nationally, they topped out at a few hundred. Yet they are the favorite bugbear of right wing boogaloo shit stirrers: “Tonight’s the night, Comrades,” with a brown raised-fist emoji and “Tonight we say 'F--- The City' and we move into the residential areas... the white hoods.... and we take what's ours …” That message appeared on twitter on May 31, 2020--supposedly from Antifa, but actually traced to the right wing identitarian group Identity Evropa (aka American Identity Movement. QAnon, Boogloo Bois, and Proud Bois are among the right wing loonies feeding the Anti-antifa frenzy. Antifa sitings are becoming as common as UFO and Bigfoot sitings in Trump country. On June 2, Trump sent out an email. "ANTIFA. Dangerous MOBS of far-left groups are running through our streets and causing absolute mayhem. They are DESTROYING our cities and rioting — it’s absolute madness.” Yes, yes it is.

As Trump's poll numbers sag, he and his fans turn desperately to the Nazi playbook: the Reichstag fire! The Nazi identitarians accused the Comintern of the act, but historians think it was a Nazi false flag operation. In any event, the incident became the basis for Hitler's consolidation of power under the pretext of combating the Communist menace. History may be about to repeat itself. I believe that Trump and his quislings are looking for a similar pretext. The useful idiots of the far left may be about to provide him one by stunts like CHAZ/ CHOP and the Portland riots. But I'm sure they can scare one up without the left's cooperation!

Six tends to be vague about his facts. For those wondering where this happened, it was Seattle. The group wielding baseball bats was not identified! I can certainly believe it happened. My sisters encountered a similar group back in 1999 at the Seattle protest of WTO. . The protest started out relatively peaceful, but deteriorated after a group of black masked anarchists showed up and started smashing things, triggering a police riot. Was this Antifa? Who knows? That name wasn't used back then in the U.S., Antifa in this country being generally dated to 2007. Was the group with the bats the officer is talking about Antifa? She doesn't say. Nobody else does either.

Once again Six plies his trade as a propagandist, using the example of a single wrongdoer to try to tar a movement. The man in question was seen among the Occupy City Hall protesters, and was caught trying to cut the brake lines of an NYPD van. He is obviously a criminal who should be sent to prison. Does this mean that all the Occupy City Hall protestors were criminals who should be sent to prison? Hardly logical!

Ok, I'm not going to bother reading any of those links, as you probably didnt

Floyd died on the 25th May

When did the Federal Troops appear in Portland? Last week?

So does a headline saying Trump "reenergized" the Portland protests refer to him sending in troops.....6 friggin weeks later???

LOTZ! Talk about Deflection! Six's metholdology is contagious. You pick out one contributor, pick out something about him you find questionable, and ignore the substance of what is being said. (for the curious, McElvane was the author of the Huff Post link, fifth from the top, fourth from the bottom. Significantly, VG doesn't comment on the content of the article. He can't get pat the feminism part). McIlvaine is professor of an endowed chair, Chairman of the history department at Millsap's College, and award-winning author of seven books. It's as bad as Six's (Post#224) "BLM organizer" in Jackson,NH (population 996, 99.6% white). Absurd! Do Aussie gorillas find the notion of a male feminist to be so amusing that the mere mention of one writer in a list of eight links is a conversation stopper? What are you, some kinda gay Crocodile Dundee? Go back to your tree.
