anti smokers

Im not that well read on this stuff. All i know is how much i hate the thought of polluted air (any form of pollution) and also how TERRIBLE i felt whilst living with the endless smoke...i got headaches, my cough was wheezy and i couldnt breathe properly...
Plus anything reducing oxygen flow cannot be good...

Although it miht just be my particaulr system, you could be right...

But then when it comes to children, liberal as i am, i wouldnt condone taking the risk

 

Im not really for polluted air either, but I think if the truth is to be know on that, the greatest majority of pollution comes from factories, cars and other things that burn fuel, pesticides, arisol sprays and things of the like combined. Smoking I think if the truth is to be known is a very tiny part of the pollution in the overall amount of space on earth.

I also think though that in your paticular case with the smoking people should be considerate of you and not smoke around you as obviously you are one of the people out there who cant handle it well, I also will not smoke around kids. Like I have said time again, yes Im a smoker but I will still be considerate of non smokers the best I can, while reserving my right to have it on my own personal property.

My main gripe in my original post was with hardecore non smokers who agresively try to pound there own ideals down my throat without any kind of respect twards another persons right to choose. Im not upset with all non smokers and have nothing against non smokers. It's the more violent pushy types that im getting at.:sunglasse

My dad smokes and I didn't know he did until I was like 10 because my mom forbade him from ever smoking in the house and he had to go out in the woods and he couldn't smoke in the car or anything either. Even to this day, I have never actually seen him smoke.

 

Hell at school we are only allowed to smoke in our cars. Oh and they are talking about banning smoking in bars. It's a bunch of shit. Sure I don't smoke anymore....but come on! I'm not asking if I can smoke in class.....I want to be able to smoke down by the lake, or at least at the gazebo (which I used to do) I even got sniffed by the rent-a-cop who wanted to give me a ticket for smoking on school grounds - and I wasn't even smoking that day.

 

Smoking is illegal in bars here in California. Casinos are basically the only place you can smoke.

 

No more smoking in bars or restaurants in New York and New Jersey.
You can smoke in Atlantic City Casinos tho.

I remember New York's Mayor Bloomberg going public with an admonishment

mind you, mitigating circumstances, ie. that the people in the attached condos could smell it, sort of make it understandable. they're in a homeowners association. that's their own goddamned fault, signing one of those contracts. i'll never ever be okay with homeowner's associations. people who can tell you what color you can paint your house and when you have to mow your lawn. that's bullshit right there.

 

They don't take anything into consideration. They're just a mindless mob out to cause trouble any way they can. Before it was alcohol, then weed, now tobacco. In a few more years they will have moved on to something else and these same jack asses will act like they never attacked tobbaco users at all.

For the most part, they are complete and total dumbasses who don't have the brains to think for themselves and just do whatever their beloved politicians tell them to do. When the political agenda changes the agenda of the brain-free mob will also change.

My advice- just ingore them, their jack ass rules, and their ridiculous anti-smoking messages which, by the way, they never think up themselves, they just recite what they have been told to recite like a trained parrot (I'm not kidding about their brainlessness; Seriously, these people are completely devoid of any capability of independent thought).

It's the same as the marijuana fight, you just have to ingore the anti-weed faction and do what you want, smoke when you want- it's the only way we will ever defeat them.

It's a shame our country (and for that matter, the developed world) has been reduced to being ruled by brainless, power hungry mobs with no sense of liberty, juctice, or morality, but such is the state of the world today.

I had several of them tell me they freedom to smoke doesn't apply because the American nation wasn't founded on the concept of liberty(they will also tell you that about any other liberty that used to exist in this country). That's public education for you-forget that the American revolution ever happened and brainwash the youth to agree with whatever you want them to agree with.

Not only was the revolution about Liberty, it was funded by tobacco. The new generation never new that, and they never will. Public education's usual M.O. of producing, by the millions, mindless uneducated drones with no knowledge of history or anything else. As for the "and never will" part, Public education has taught these new generation drones that knowledge is so unimportant, they will never go out and do their own historical research to find these things out for themselves. Brainless drones indeed.

So to the brainless servants of the g-men: bring on your hate speech, (which this post will attract like flies to honey) and I'll just ignore your idiotic anti-smoking comments the way I always do, because they are not worthy of response. Tell your political bosses that if they want me to listen, they are going to have to give you guys some fresh material.

I blow smoke in my fiance's face all the time. Around here, when you blow smoke in someone's face, it means you wanna fuck them. Also, if you light your significant other's cigarette/blunt/joint, that is an automatic 7 years of good sex. We already have a couple hundred years of good sex lined up

i might be wrong but i think i got it. do you all like to smoke just cause your smoking? it seems like theres just something good about smoking in general thats probably liked. and maybe tobacco is just a good smoke? im not sure, do you like to smoke, or smoke tobacco?

One thing about it I am also running an air filter in my room, but here lately I have been switching from smoking pipe and cigars to burning incense. I know that smoking isn't good for a person, I understand that. I just always liked the smell of cigar smoke or pipe. Cigarette smoke I don't like. I have no addiction and I am thinking I might as well quit tobacco while im ahead, I will probably start smoking non tobacco products. I found some stuff on the internet, it's legal bud. It's not marijuana, it's made up of different herbs that are legal. Not suposed to be as strong as Marijuana.

I have to say though, after burning some Nag Champa Incense. I really am loving this stuff. When it comes to incense, the best is from India.

 

Maybe folks who don't like being nagged about smoking tobacco haven't seen what it can do. I've got a friend who's dying right now. She smoked from when she was young til she was at least 40. I don't know about after that. I tried to tell her to quit. Now she's in her late 50's and doesn't have long. The cancer started in her breast and now is everywhere. It's awful when a person goes through this. Really hard on the family too. This was an outgoing loving person who tried to be good but just wouldn't quit smoking. It's a horrible tragic thing. To think people are making money off tobacco and some people think it's OK to smoke... You're going to change your mind someday or wish you had. Sure there's a scant few who "smoke all their lives til they're ninty and then die in a car wreck." Some people win the lottery too but you won't catch me buyin a ticket.

 

You do have a good point there actually, Ive basically decided to go to non tobacco products. Herbal smoke is much better for a person than tobacco. There is some natural herbal stuff out there that is legal in all 52 states. If somebody wants to smoke this would be the way to go but at the same time if people choose to smoke tobacco, i wont stand in there way or nag at them, I have better things to do. To each person there own. Right now Im finishing my cigars up. Then I am switching to non tobacco herbal smoke. I see also they have non tobacco chew, taste like tobacco but is made out of food products. They do have some interesting stuff as a substitute, I wont use anything thats illegal though.

My grandma had two aunts and an uncle who had serious lung disease, which either on their own or coupled with other complications ended their lives.

I have such a nasty history of lung cancer and lung disease in my family that I don't want to be around second hand smoke if I can avoid it. Not to mention that the one time I went to the bar before the anti-smoking ban went in place, one of my friends got burned by some fuckwit's cig while she was on the dance floor with it in hand.

Maybe you call yourself a respectful smoker but not everyone is. There's no way to legislate being "nice" or "respectful", the only thing they really can do is ban it.

Not to mention in Canada the drain on the health system from smoking related health problems. Yes there are many other diseases and problems that weight on the health system but smoking is a pretty obvious one.

 

I can certainly understand your concern, one thing though I would like to mention is I have heard that the supreame court threw out the ruling on the dangers of second hand smoke because the test they found unconclusive. Still I understand your concern on the matter. Non tobacco natural herbal smokes on the other hand arent known to cause cancer, there is no tobacco in them, Im going to switch to them now that i found them on the internet where i can buy them. Me I must be lucky so far as my parents smoking over the years has not hurt me any, but I know to that everybodys system is different. You are also correct that not everyone is a respectful smoker, I agree. Im sorry to hear about all the problems it has caused your family. I always did my best to keep it within my own home or on my own property away from others who dont smoke. I think the legal bud I am looking at though is more of a Marijuana substitute but it's Suposed to be legal in all 52 states, One is called Hawiian Gold. I will check it out better if it's really legal, you bet i will buy it. Tobacco is bad for you, I dont deny it and I say for those who dont currently smoke it, dont start. Im moving away from it while im not addicted. Thats why Im switching to the non tobacco alternatives.

of subsidising them for the consequences of it.
